REAUTHORIZE FUNDING FOR OAA PROGRAMS AND SERVICES NOW!
The Older Americans Act (OAA) provides a broad range of programs and services to help older adults be healthy, productive, and independent in their homes and communities. Many OAA services and programs are for Seniors, but there are also programs such as The National Family Caregiver Support Program (NFCSP), and the Alzheimer’s Disease Programs Initiative (ADPI) that serve adult family members or other informal caregivers aged 18 and older providing care to individuals of any age with Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders.
Current funding for OAA programs and services expires in FY24 and must be reauthorized by the current Congress. Tell your Senators to reauthorize funding for OAA programs at or above current levels, and that funding for programs such as the NFCSP and the ADPI that benefit individuals and families living with FTD must not be cut.
