Thank you for Strengthening Families through Title IV-B

On December 21, the Senate voted to pass legislation to reform and re-authorize Title IV-B under the Protecting America’s Children by Strengthening Families Act (H.R. 9076).

This is a bill within a larger package of priorities that was first introdcued in the House and the last time the program received any significant reforms was in 2008. The bill reauthorizes Title IV-B for five years and the program is tasked with:

  • helping prevent child abuse and neglect,
  • keeping families together, and
  • ensuring children are not separated from their parents solely because of poverty, among other reforms.

Reach out to your members of Congress today to thank them for this needed reform and investment for children and families!
