Let Oregon Representative Jodi Hack (R-Salem) know that you support her efforts to keep kids safe – ask her to co-sponsor House Bill 2130, which makes it a crime to allow kids unsupervised access to a gun. Our letter reads as follows:
Rep. Hack – I am writing in response to your press release announcing your sponsorship of House Bill 2556, intended to keep marijuana paraphernalia out of the hands of kids. I agree that some things don't belong in the hands of children and teens – and as such, I'm asking for your sponsorship of House Bill 2130, which makes it a crime to allow a child unsupervised access to a firearm. Surely you agree that if marijuana pipes are a danger to Oregon's kids and teens, firearms are as well. I look forward to your support of this common-sense bill.
