Restore Election Integrity in the States
I am a constituent, and I urge you to take concrete steps to restore election integrity.
Both Article I, Section 4, and Article II, Section 1, of the U.S. Constitution give state legislatures primary authority over federal elections. You must exercise this authority to restore confidence in our elections, and you must reclaim it from judges and executive branch bureaucrats.
I demand you take the following actions immediately:
-- Completely prohibit "ballot harvesting"
-- Abolish early voting and same-day registration, and limit absentee ballots
-- Go back to paper ballots
-- Reinstate the precinct
-- Abolish internet voting and internet voter registration
-- Increase transparency, including protecting election observers
-- Ensure that non-citizens don't vote
-- Nullify unconstitutional federal election laws, including H.R. 1, if passed
Reassert your constitutional authority over federal elections. Return to in-person voting on Election Day only, increase transparency, and ensure that only paper ballots are used with a strong emphasis on the precinct.
Enact substantive election reforms such as these. The integrity of our Republic and public faith in our electoral system is at stake.
Enact Substantive Election Reforms
I am a constituent and demand that enact robust legislative reforms to our election processes that will increase confidence in our results.
Since the so-called Progressive Era in the early 20th century, there has been a gradual outsourcing of legislative power to bureaucrats and judges.
This is also true with regard to election laws. However, this outsourcing violates Article I, Section 4, of the U.S. Constitution, which gives only state legislatures power over most election procedures. Take back this power.
Additionally, enact measures that will increase confidence in election results. Go to
jbs.org/vote/solutions/ to see a wide-ranging list of strong election reforms. Read it, follow it, and take action.
Thus, enact strong election reform measures.
Protect Our Elections
I live in your district and want you to take strong action to protect our elections.
First, restore your power over election rules. The U.S. Constitution, specifically Art. I, Sec. 4, gives state legislatures primary control over election rules in their respective states. The only exception is congressional elections, only when Congress makes its own laws.
Reclaim your authority from the courts and executive branch bureaucrats who have usurped your authority.
Additionally, make real election reforms, including the following:
-- All voting should be in-person, on Election Day, with exceptions only for people who can prove they will be out of town or physically unable to vote.
-- Use paper ballots; end your reliance on electronic ballots.
-- Ballot harvesting, drop-boxes, and mail-in voting, which are vulnerable to fraud and voter intimidation, should be outlawed.
-- Strengthen/Restore the precinct's importance in voting and vote-counting.
-- Increase vote-counting transparency for ordinary citizens.
-- Clean up and better-maintain voter rolls.
Take strong action to protect our elections.
Take Action on Elections
I live in your district and want you to take substantive action on elections.
Constitutionally, this is primarily your responsibility, according to Article I, Section 4. Reclaim your authority over elections from the courts and bureaucrats who have unconstitutionally usurped it.
Take the following actions to ensure our elections are secure:
-- Eliminate ballot harvesting.
-- Abolish early voting, no-excuse mail-in voting, and same-day registration.
-- Restore the precinct in our election system.
-- Ensure that there is a paper trail when vote-counting, and prohibit internet voting and internet voter registration.
-- Increase vote-counting transparency by immediately posting precinct-level results and allowing citizens to monitor vote-counting
-- Ensure that non-citizens do not vote by strengthening safeguards.
-- Ensure that voter rolls are up-to-date.
Additionally, if any federal laws -- current and future -- inhibit your ability to implement voting safeguards, please move state/local elections to a different date. Remember, the federal government only has the constitutional authority to regulate congressional elections (Art. 1, Sec. 4).
Reassert your constitutional authority over elections and restore real election integrity.
Strengthen Election Safeguards
As your constituent, I ask you to strengthen election safeguards to prevent fraud and "bending the rules."
Ensuring that our elections are secure and credible is one of the most important things the leaders of a republic can do. However, multiple gaps in our election laws exist the undermine confidence in our election results.
There are many serious steps you can take. Don't settle for a couple of half-measures. Go to
jbs.org/vote/solutions/ and work to pass the many Election Integrity recommendations that are listed.
Take substantive actions -- don't wait.
