Stop the Ammo Registration bill - H.R. 127!
H.R. 127 by Representative Jackson-Lee is a disgraceful attack on our Second Amendment freedoms and should be stopped immediately.
The United States Constitution is very clear about this issue -- my right to defend myself and my family shall not be infringed.
H.R. 127 is the ultimate infringement, as it would institute a national registry of every firearm and every bullet in America!
In addition, legislation like this never impacts criminals who will ignore the law. In fact, it empowers and emboldens them because they know it means that fewer gun owners are armed and able to defend themselves!
No, the real purpose behind this legislation is to destroy the Right of the People to defend themselves against tyrannical government and criminals alike.
As one of your constituents, I am writing to insist that you vote no on this legislation at every point in the legislative process, and that you speak out against it publicly, as well.
Wyoming Gun Owners will be watching this bill and keeping me updated on it, and any politicians who support it.
So please ‘VOTE NO’ on H.R. 127 or any similar legislation!
H.R. 127 is the Ultimate Infringement on My Freedoms!
The purpose of the Second Amendment was as a final check on a run-away tyrannical government, that wanted to subjugate their own people.
That’s why the Second Amendment states that our right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
H.R. 127 is the ultimate infringement on my freedoms, as it would make me a criminal for buying ‘unlicensed’ firearms or ammunition!
This legislation has just one purpose: to build a national database of every gun owner in the country, to facilitate future gun confiscation.
As my elected voice in Congress, I am writing to insist that you ‘VOTE NO’ on this legislation at all points in the legislative process.
Wyoming Gun Owners will keep me informed about the status of this bill, and the politicians in Congress who support it.
Would Ammo Audits Be Next?
Representative Jackson-Lee’s H.R. 127 would mandate a registration program for all future gun and ammunition sales, presumably making me a criminal for buying an ‘unregistered’ firearm or ammunition.
Besides being completely unconstitutional, it begs some questions. Will government officials be stopping by my home to audit my ammunition inventory? Will I have to eventually report how much ammunition I use at the range on the weekends? And how would this legislation stop criminals, again?
Of course we all know that H.R. 127 wouldn’t stop a single criminal, but that’s not why legislation like this is being introduced in the first place.
H.R. 127 has just one purpose: to build a national database of every gun owner in the country, to make it easier for radical socialists like Representative Jackson-Lee to be able to confiscate our guns down the road.
That’s why I am writing you, as a voter in your district, to insist that you ‘VOTE NO’ on this and every other piece of gun control legislation that is filed in Congress this year!
Totalitarian Regimes Have Laws Like This, Not America!
Congresswoman Sheila Jackson-Lee’s H.R. 127 is the kind of law that I expect to see on the books in nations where the people have no freedoms and suffer under a brutal dictator.
After all, by requiring a license and registration for the sale of every firearm and every round of ammunition that I buy, it’s a small step for gun confiscation and tyranny.
This legislation should never have been filed in the US Congress, and as my representative in Congress, I am writing to insist that you oppose H.R. 127 and all points in the legislative process and that you publicly condemn it!
