I am writing today to express my extreme disappointment regarding your decision to include Canadian natural gas and oil producers on the same list as firearms manufacturers, tobacco companies and pornographers by prohibiting them from supporting any City of Regina events, sponsorships or naming opportunities. This is a short-sighted decision that casts aspersions the thousands of Regina and Saskatchewan residents who earn the incomes in the natural resource industry. The refinery alone employs thousands. So I am asking you to reserve course on your decision, to remove Canada’s natural gas and oil companies from this list and stand up in support of one of our most important sectors.
