Please vote yes on HB413. This bill will require that our state and local governments follow the science and will ensure that any required vaccines are safe. Some Georgia employers are already pressuring employees to get the COVID vaccine and these vaccines have NOT been approved for general use by the FDA - they have only been approved for emergency use. This bill would make sure that the decision about whether to get this vaccine is made by the individual and their health care provider. Please support science and vote yes to HB413.

As a member of the Health and Human Services Committee, I know that you want to ensure that any vaccines required of Georgians have met the standards of safety set forth in this bill. I know that you value the relationship between doctor and patient and would never want any Georgian to be coerced into any medical intervention by an employer or business. I am writing to ask that you vote yes on HB413 to ensure that COVID vaccines are safe for Georgians. I believe more Georgians will be willing to get vaccinations with these safeguards in place. I also believe that Georgians need to make the decision about whether to vaccinate with their doctor and not because of coercion by their employer. They should not fear losing their jobs or being discriminated against based on vaccination status.
