Gun Owners of America says that your grade just dropped
Gun Owners of America tells me that you voted to confirm Merrick Garland for Attorney General on Wednesday afternoon.
I find that sickening, that you would vote to confirm someone who is so utterly committed to destroying the Second Amendment.
When Senator Cotton asked Garland whether the FBI can indefinitely delay firearms purchases, Garland said that he had “no opinion”!!!
At his Judiciary Committee hearing, Garland wouldn’t agree to keep his DOJ from trying to overturn the Heller decision. He said, “I can’t promise [that I won’t argue for overturning Heller].” (Emphasis added.) Seriously!
And in regard to a semi-auto ban, Garland said, “I think the president is entitled to pursue [a ban on commonly-owned firearms].”
It defies logic as to why you would support a candidate that is so committed to tearing apart the Bill of Rights.
GOA said that they are scoring the Garland vote, which means that your grade with them just dropped.
How could you vote for Merrick Garland?

You just voted for an AG that is opposed to gun ownership

Very disappointed
I was very disappointed to see that on Wednesday, March 10, you voted to confirm Merrick Garland as the U.S. Attorney General.
Gun Owners of America tells me that they will be scoring that as an anti-gun vote, and I agree with that assessment.
As one of your constituents, I will HOLD YOU RESPONSIBLE when the ATF starts to crack down on gun owners, dealers and manufacturers for conduct that is constitutional and lawful.
At his Judiciary Committee hearing, Garland’s anti-gun animus was clear. He indicated that he would enforce a semi-auto ban that was illegitimately imposed by executive fiat.
And he even refused to say he’d prevent the DOJ from trying to overturn the Heller decision. He said, “I can’t promise [that I won’t argue for overturning Heller].” (Emphasis added.)
Seriously! I thought that Heller was settled law. But for the left, nothing is settled and everything is on the table.
As a judge, Garland had four opportunities to rule on cases involving Second Amendment rights, and each and every time, he ruled against the right to bear arms. But you voted for him anyway and that really upsets me!
It defies logic as to why you would support a candidate who is so committed to destroying the Second Amendment rights of millions of Americans. Unless of course you agree with him.
To be sure, this vote will justifiably be reflected in your grade with Gun Owners of America.
You will rightly be held responsible for what ATF does

Thank you for opposing Merrick Garland
Gun Owners of America tells me that you voted against Merrick Garland for Attorney General.
Thank you for opposing this anti-gun leftist.
It is clear that Garland is anti-gun to his very core, even though he repeatedly evaded questions from Senators on the Second Amendment.
When Senator Cotton asked Garland whether the FBI can indefinitely delay firearms purchases, Garland said that he had “no opinion”!
At his Judiciary Committee hearing, Garland wouldn’t promise to keep his DOJ from trying to overturn the Heller decision. He said, “I can’t promise [that I won’t argue for overturning Heller].” (Emphasis added.) Seriously!
But Garland let his true colors show when, in regard to the semi-auto ban, Garland said, “I think the president is entitled to pursue [a ban on commonly-owned firearms].”
So again, thank you for casting your vote against such a dangerous nominee.
GOA and I are grateful that you voted against Garland
