Enact Constitutional Carry – HF 756
As one of your constituents and a supporter of Gun Owners of America, I urge you to sign HF 756.
Under House File 756, law-abiding citizens of Iowa will be able to conceal carry without having to beg the government for a permit. This is particularly important at a time when government closures around the country are dragging out that process -- thereby endangering the lives of applicants in threatening situations.
Eighteen other states currently recognize that Americans have the right to carry a gun for self-defense without first getting the government's permission to exercise their constitutional rights. These states, not coincidentally, are among the safest in the country.
It's well past time that Iowa joined these states and repealed the unreasonable and unconstitutional limits on Iowans’ exercise of their Second Amendment rights.
Please enact HF 756.
