The We the People Amendment, is the only comprehensive solution to address big money in politics and corporate rule by abolishing ALL corporate constitutional rights.
Highlights of the #WethePeopleAmendment include:
√ Power for the people to assert their constitutional rights as "natural persons" and to limit the privileges and powers of artificial entities (currently impossible so long as corporations can claim Fourteenth Amendment equal protection and due process rights)
√ Power for the people to require the labeling of dangerous ingredients in foods and other manufactured goods (currently impossible so long as corporations can claim First Amendment rights “not to speak”)
√ Power for the people to conduct surprise safety inspections to protect workers, consumers and the environment, (currently impossible so long as corporations can claim Fourth Amendment search and seizure rights)
√ Power for the people to ensure a livable world by mandating fossil fuel corporations to keep coal, oil and gas from being mined, drilled or fracked (currently impossible so long as corporations can claim Fifth Amendment “takings” rights)
√ Power for the people to require campaign finance regulation as a governmental duty, including public disclosure of all permissible political contributions, for the clear purpose of guaranteeing equal access to the political process for ALL people regardless of their wealth (currently impossible so long as "money equals speech" and corporations can claim First Amendment "free speech" rights)
As you can see, the We the People Amendment is vital to guaranteeing genuine DEMOCRATIC POWER FOR THE PEOPLE.

The Amendment, formally introduced on April 5 with 50 co-sponsors, calls for an end to the anti-democratic constitutional doctrines that political money equals free speech and corporations are persons with many rights that were solely intended for human beings.
Money as speech and corporate personhood make it virtually impossible for communities to protect themselves from corporations preempting locally passed laws and for people without money to have their voices heard and needs met.

Corporations are not people and money is not speech. Yet corporations and the rich have hijacked Constitutional Amendments to to ensure these rights are more important than than the rights of people and communities to promote health, safety and welfare.
Money is property, not speech. And corporations are not people, and should not have the inalienable Constitutional Rights intended for individual human beings, like you and me.
