As a constituent and law-abiding American, I ask that you please vote NO on David Chipman’s confirmation vote to lead the ATF. For years, Chipman has advocated for the banning some of the most commonly owned firearms in the U.S. and wants to restrict my rights as a law-abiding gun owner! He is a danger to the Constitution and should not be trusted to be the Director of the ATF as he recently demonstrated in his confirmation hearing. At his confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee, he candidly offered his support for banning so-called “assault weapons.” However; in that same exchange, he could not even begin to define the term or explain what it was he had committed to banning. His readiness to commit to things he doesn’t understand is appalling to the millions of lawful citizens who use AR-15’s as the simple tools they are.
