Please support these two pro-gun bills
The NH "gun line" is broken and can't be fixed. After hearing about the lengthy delays and long waits experienced by gun buyers, the Senate voted SB 141 "ought to pass."
In 2019, Gov. Sununu vetoed HB 514 (which attempted to impose a waiting period on gun buyers). And yet, handgun buyers are being forced right now, in some cases, to wait over four weeks to take possession of their new gun. These delays harm gun dealers and deprive citizens of their Constitutional rights.
This not only violates the US and New Hampshire Constitutions, it prevents those who have an urgent need for a self-defense weapon from providing for their own protection. So on April 28, please vote SB 141 "ought to pass."
You will also be asked to consider an amendment by Reps. Abbas and Burt which will make SB 154 into a true Second Amendment sanctuary bill. It is vitally important to prohibit New Hampshire law enforcement from enforcing unconstitutional federal gun laws and executive orders.
While we may not be able to stop the enacting of these laws and rules, we don't have to use state and local resources to help with their enforcement. So please also vote SB 154 and the Abbas / Burt amendment "ought to pass."
Thank you. Gun Owners of America will keep me informed.
