Free Pastor Pawel Chojecki
I understand that the laws which pertain to the freedom of speech in Poland differ from the Bill of Rights in the United States.
In the United States, the First Amendment to our Constitution specifically states that “Congress shall make no law…abridging the freedom of speech or of the press…”
In a free country, this is how it should be. No exceptions.
Poland has gained a reputation as a free country in America but this reputation is coming into doubt due to recent developments.
I have learned, as many others have, that a Christian pastor named Pawel Chojecki has been charged with calling your President Duda a traitor among other things. I have no idea if these accusations by Pastor Chojecki are true or not.
It doesn’t matter. In a free country a person may say what he likes about a politician unless he accuses him of a crime he cannot prove, at which point the politician can sue the person for defamation of character — not use the power of government to silence the person or his opposition.
Such a trial demonstrates that perhaps Americans should rethink about whether Poland has truly shed its communist background or whether it has only pretended to do so if it can jail a man for speaking out.
As word spreads of the trials of a pastor in Poland, the American voters will begin to question just how much they will allow our government to assist Poland or count on Poland to actually stand with us as a free country against totalitarian states.
I ask that you reconsider the charges against Pastor Chojecki who has a growing number of people here who support him as well as in Poland.
It is amazing how a martyr can help grow a movement. Make a martyr of Pawel Chojecki and you will see.
End Harassment of Pastor Pawel Chojecki
I am writing to express my official opposition to condemning and punishing Polish citizens for their views and words, as has happened to Pastor Pawel Chojecki, the editor-in-chief of Against the Tide TV.
As a citizen of the free state of the United States of America, I find this an outrageous scandal. Such incidents happen in dictatorships, so I expect the Polish authorities to stop harassing Pastor Chojecki.
Freedom for Pastor Pawel Chojecki
It is disgraceful that the Polish government is persecuting a Christian pastor simply because he is voicing his opinions on religion and politics.
Pastor Pawel Chojecki is one of Poland's strongest opponents of Communism. He has even criticized Poland because of Communism's continued presence in the government.
Why would a government that claims to be Christian and anti-Communist persecute Pastor Chojecki?
If Poland truly has rejected Marxism and Communism, you will free Pastor Chojecki and ensure his freedom.
Drop All Charges Against Pawel Chojecki
I demand that you drop all charges against Pastor Pawel Chojecki and reverse his "guilty" verdict.
In a free society, people should have the freedom to speak their minds without worrying about being prosecuted.
Sadly, an anti-Communist Christian pastor in Poland is being persecuted simply for voicing his his opinion on religious and political topics.
I thought Poland ceased to be a Communist and anti-Christian country. So why is it persecuting those who oppose Marxism?
If you value freedom, you should drop all charges against Pastor Pawel Chojecki and allow him to speak his mind.
Stop Persecuting Pastor Pawel Chojecki
Is Poland still a Communist country? That's the impression that I get when learning about how the government is persecuting a Christian, conservative, and anti-Communist pastor, Pawel Chojecki.
In a free society, everybody has the freedom to speak their mind, even when it is unpopular. When government has the power to silence your enemies, it also has the power to silence you.
I demand that the Polish government end its persecution of the country's strongest anti-Communist advocate. Show us that Poland has rejected Communism by dropping all charges against Pastor Pawel Chojecki.
