Defunding the Police Means More Violent Crime copy
Cities that have been so foolish as to defund the police have learned a cruel lesson. Fewer police bring an increase in violent crime.
Washington DC, Minneapolis, Seattle, and others have learned the hard way. I don’t want that to happen here.
We depend on the police to protect us from criminals. While there may be a few bad apples, most police officers are doing their job well.
Do not vote to transfer money from the police department to social welfare programs. If anything, we may need to increase what we spend on police protection.
And do not handcuff the police in the name of “police reform”. They must be able to protect themselves as they put their lives on the line to protect us.
I look forward to hearing whether you agree with me on this life and death issue.
I want the police to be able to protect me
We live in a dangerous world, and crime is one of those dangers.
I expect the police to protect me from criminals, and especially from violence.
And yet, there are some who say that I should be more afraid of the police. They believe that the police routinely kill innocent people. They assume that any police officer who is charged with improper conduct should be assumed guilty and punished.
That sort of thinking is putting me at risk.
Violent crime is on the increase, and no one should be surprised. When you threaten to punish police for doing their job, naturally they will begin to hold back.
That must end, and it must end now.
Our state and local governments must support the police and give them the resources they need to protect us.
I expect you to fully support our police.
I look forward to your response, telling me whether we are in agreement.
Support the Police, Jail the Criminals
I am astonished that some people are greatly concerned about criminals while treating the police as the enemy.
We are told that criminals must be put back on the street in order to end “mass incarceration”.
We are told that some laws should not even be enforced because too many of the lawbreakers have the wrong color skin.
And we are told that it is the police, not these criminals, who pose the real danger.
That is all ridiculous!
Police are a necessary protection against crime, especially violent crime. We must support them and let them do their job.
Criminals belong in jail. The “mass incarceration” that is being criticized helped bring to an end the crime wave of the early 1990’s. Back then, even Joe Biden thought criminals belonged behind bars and a liberal Congress felt compelled to take action.
The police should not be defunded, abolished, or replaced by social workers.
They must not be told that they are presumed guilty if they use force to protect themselves or others.
We must support our police and enforce the law.
I await an answer to find out if you agree with me on this matter.
Don’t support phony police “reform”
Those who are enemies of the police and friends of criminals want us to believe that police “reform” must be enacted.
They want to fire police officers and replace them with social workers.
They want to make the police easily subjected to harassing lawsuits.
They hope to see police officers sent to prison for defending themselves against violent felons.
We have already seen a sharp increase in violent crime where politicians have forced the police to go easy on criminals.
That must not be allowed to happen here.
I expect you to give our police the support they need to protect us from criminals.
I look forward to your reply.
Don’t demonize the police
Our police are under attack from Leftists who hope to weaken and even abolish them.
They promote the false claim that police are routinely killing innocent people.
They claim the police are oppressing minorities.
They even claim that the police can be replaced by social workers.
I am not fooled, and I hope you are not either.
The police are an essential part of our society, protecting us from those who would kill, rape, and steal. We need a strong and effective police force in every locality.
Those who would weaken or abolish the police must not have their way.
I hope to quickly hear from you, let me know whether you agree on the need to fully support our police.
