While socialist media outlets across the country are pushing a false narrative that gun owners support ‘Red Flag Gun Seizure’ legislation, I am writing to you as my Representative, to make sure you know how false that is. As a voter, a gun owner, and an American, I am 100% opposed to any legislation that would allow a liberal judge to confiscate my firearms and suspend my rights before I’ve been convicted of a crime! More than that, not a single gun owner I know supports this legislation. In fact, every single American who I talk to is opposed to this legislation as well. We all know what’s going on. The liberal left (like Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler) and some of the sellout moderates on the right are trying to use the recent mass shootings (which only highlight the failure of gun control in the first place) to disarm proud gun owners like me. As your constituent, I demand that you oppose H.R. 2377 if it makes it to the floor. I’ll be watching your votes on this very closely. If I miss anything, the American Firearms Association will keep me informed.

‘Red Flag Gun Seizures’ are abhorrent to me as a proud American and a gun owner, and I strongly insist that you vote no on this legislation (H.R. 2377) if it comes up for a vote on the Floor. This is about much more than the Second Amendment. One of the most bedrock philosophies of this country is the idea that we are ‘innocent until proven guilty’ in a court of law. If we surrender this concept in the area of the Second Amendment -- allowing gun owners to lose their firearms and their rights before ever being convicted of a crime -- this will spread to other areas quickly. The raging socialist liberals like Jerry Nadler and weak-kneed moderates who are pushing this legislation want to destroy this great country, and if they can obliterate the idea of ‘innocent until proven guilty,’ they will be one step closer to their goal. That’s why I insist that you oppose this legislation at every step in the process! The American Firearms Association will let me know how you vote on this bill.

This legislation would disarm gun owners before they have ever been charged or convicted of anything -- let alone had their day in court. As one of your constituents, I want you to know that your actions on this bill have my full attention. Gun owners sent a VERY LOUD message last year and are even more fired up right now than we were in 2020! So for your own sake, and for the sake of the Second Amendment, I hope you’ll oppose this legislation should it come up for a full vote.
