For example, it supports patients who suffer from allergies, especially those with allergy-related skin conditions, by providing greater and more convenient access to a physician. For patients with chronic respiratory conditions like asthma and COPD, telehealth has been an effective way to provide disease education and has improved disease management. This is particularly true in rural areas, where visiting a physician’s office often requires traveling lengthy distances.
