Pass Constitutional Carry one last time!
As a member of the House Leadership team, I insist that you lead your chamber and fight for gun owners in Ohio by getting SB215 hammered out of the House as is!
Your chamber already passed Constitutional Carry once already with the passage of HB227 back in November, so getting this bill out ASAP is a no-brainer!
Gun owners in Ohio have been waiting for decades for the passage of Constitutional Carry law, and now victory is finally within our grasp.
We need to get SB215 on Mike DeWine's desk, pronto!
Constitutional Carry has passed in FIVE states alone in 2021, bringing the total up to twenty-one states that have removed these infringements on the right to keep and bear arms from the books.
The people of Ohio deserve this freedom, but it isn't going to get there if you and your colleagues don't fight for it and insist that it be brought up for a vote. That's why I'm demanding that you listen to the voters who elected your caucus into power and DO YOUR JOB!
You've already passed Constitutional Carry once, DO IT AGAIN!
Gun owners have consistently delivered big wins for the legislative majorities in Columbus, and now it is time for you to deliver a big win for gun owners by passing Constitutional Carry.
I urge you to immediately do everything you can to support, get a vote on SB215, and hammer the bill over to the Governor's office!
Any effort to amend SB215 will be seen as hostile - as an amended bill will require an up-or-down vote in the Senate, potential Conference Committee, or end in a DeWine veto. We cannot afford that!
Ohio Gun Owners will keep me informed on the status of this legislation throughout the session as well as your actions or inactions.
Pass SB215 ASAP and as is!
As Republican leaders in the Ohio House of Representatives, I'm calling on you to shepherd SB215 through the committee process and call the bill up for a floor vote as soon as possible!
And I expect this to be done very quickly, as you have already passed Constitutional Carry once already.
There is no excuse why SB215 cannot be passed out of your chamber at the earliest opportunity.
And before you start thinking about 'fixing', 'tweaking', or 'amending' SB215 in committee, myself and many other gun owning and freedom-loving Ohioans will view that as a hostile action.
You see, we simply do not have the time to wait for another vote in the Senate, a potential conference committee, or risk a potential DeWine veto.
That's why you need to pass SB215 out of the House AS IS!
I will be keeping tabs on your actions, and Ohio Gun Owners will be giving me regular updates as well.
Accept the win!
As a member of House majority leadership, you have the power to get Constitutional Carry done in Ohio.
I also know that when leadership wants something bad enough, they will do whatever it takes to get the job done.
In fact, past House leaders have even gone so far as to suspend the Rules of the House, leaving any and all options on the table.
I just want that kind of treatment for gun owners in this state.
Is that so much to ask?
We continue to support and elect your caucus into power election after election with very little in return.
The least you can do is pass Constitutional Carry, like so many other Republican Majorities across America have done within the past year!
And besides, you've already done this once already with HB227, so it should be easy!
Oh, and before you begin amending SB215 in committee, just know that gun owners and freedom-loving folks like me will view that as obstructionist.
I want SB215 passed out of the House unscathed and sent directly to DeWine's office!
It is the quickest and most sure fire way to get Constitutional Carry on the books in Ohio.
Ohio Gun Owners will keep me updated, as always.
Pass the bill.
As a leadership team member, my message to you is simple.
Please pass SB215 as is and send it directly to Governor DeWine.
Gun owners like me want Constitutional Carry on the books here in Ohio, and I'm tired of waiting - in fact, I feel like I have waited long enough.
I don't want another vote in the Senate to worry about, or a Conference Committee, or a potential veto.
No, the bill is fine as is and should be passed immediately!
Please help get the job done by calling on the House Government Oversight Committee to act swiftly and bring this bill to the floor of the House for a vote as soon as possible!
Thank you.
