Our President, our Congressmen, our Governor, our celebrities, our courts - all protected with guns. But our most precious resource - our kids? 'Protected' with a SIGN!? The LEAST our politicians should be doing right now to secure our schools and protect our children is by clearing obstacles in the way of good guys with guns being allowed to defend our kids on school grounds in Ohio. Gun free zones are nothing more than criminal safe zones and killing fields. Everyone knows that when seconds count, law enforcement are minutes away. And in the case of the Uvalde, Texas school shooting, that was the difference between life and death for nearly two dozen innocent victims. HB99 simply removes barriers to teachers and others already able to carry firearms from being able to properly defend our children while they are on school grounds. As a constituent, I am asking that you bring up this commonsense bill, HB99, for immediate consideration and pass it out of the senate NOW! Ohio Gun Owners will be keeping me informed on this legislation and its progress or inaction in the Senate.

The longer time goes on and gun free zones are allowed to exist in Ohio, more and more innocent life will continue to be taken by madmen. Right now, the Ohio Senate should be doing everything it can to ensure that children at school are safe and secure. And that starts with HB99. While gun free zones need to be repealed all-together, HB99 removes barriers for teachers and other qualified individuals from being able to defend our kids with firearms, like we do with celebrities, the President, our Governor, and many others. Seconds are the difference between life and death, and there is no doubt that a good guy with a gun inside a school would give teachers and students trapped inside the best chance at defeating a wannabe mass murderer. That's why I support HB99 and as a constituent, I ask that you pass it immediately and put it on the Senate floor as soon as possible!
