Oppose SEC "Climate Disclosure" Rule
Please oppose the SEC's "climate disclosure" rule -- specifically, please enact legislation stopping the rule, and please also abolish the unconstitutional SEC.
By pursuing this rule, the U.S. federal government is implementing ESG -- essentially a “social credit score” for corporations, pressuring them to adopt uber-woke policies. ESG-pushing companies like BlackRock have successfully pushed many corporations far to the Left. If the federal government adopts the same policies, this pressure will only intensify.
Furthermore, in their attempt to comply with the (costly and burdensome) rule while maintaining a high “score,” companies might impose their own social credit scores on consumers. This could result in average Americans being denied services because they haven’t adopted a Great-Reset-compliant lifestyle.
More broadly, the SEC’s rule is a sneaky way to help end the use of oil and gas while implementing radical green-new-deal environmentalist policies. Unable to implement its collectivist agenda via legislation, the Left is pursuing regulatory workarounds.
Last, but certainly not least, the SEC -- or the federal government for that matter -- does not have authority to regulate business, including for climate-change-related reasons. Its rule is illegal and unconstitutional.
Please oppose the SEC's "climate disclosure" rule, and also abolish that unconstitutional agency.
Stop Radical SEC "Climate Disclosure" Rule
I urge you to stop the SEC's proposed rule regarding climate disclosure, and also consider abolishing the SEC, a wholly-unconstitutional agency.
This dangerous rule is merely an attempt to help advance a far-left environmental agenda.
Environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) has been used to coerce corporations into adopting leftist policies. The SEC's climate disclosure rule would be an initial step toward implementing ESG on a governmental level.
This is dangerous, not only because of the coercion on public companies, but because those companies might adopt "social credit scores" on their consumers (this would help make their own climate disclosures look better).
Please stop the SEC climate disclosure rule, and also abolish the SEC itself.
Dismantle the SEC -- And Stop Its "Social Credit Score" Rule
I ask you to enact legislation 1) dismantling the SEC and 2) repealing its rule on "climate disclosures."
Nowhere in the U.S. Constitution is a federal agency like the SEC allowed to exist. The federal government doesn't even have authority to regulate the areas that the SEC oversees. Accordingly, Congress must abolish the SEC.
Furthermore, the SEC's climate-disclosure rule would unacceptably increase the regulation on public companies. The federal government's regulations are already excessive -- this one would severely worsen it.
Furthermore, this rule is illegal. The SEC has no authority under federal law (much less under the Constitution) to impose climate-change related regulations on private entities.
Also, requiring companies to disclose emissions is a dangerous step toward a federal social credit score. It is un-American to socially ostracize or punish companies because they don't adopt a radical leftist or environmentalist outlook.
The SEC's rule is inappropriate and dangerous. Thus, please oppose it, and please dismantle the SEC.
Abolish the SEC -- Stop the "Climate Disclosure" Rule
I strongly request that you abolish the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). This unconstitutional agency -- as illustrated by its radical "Climate Disclosure" rule -- threatens our individual liberty.
Not only does the "climate disclosure" rule amount to a Chinese-style "social-credit system" coercing companies to adopt "woke" policies, but in order to receive good ratings under the rule, companies would likely create their own "social-credit systems" for their customers.
The SEC has no constitutional basis for its existence. Nowhere is the federal government authorized to create such an agency -- and for good reason, considering the policies the SEC is implementing.
Accordingly, please abolish the SEC, and stop its radical "climate disclosure" rule.
Stop SEC "Social Credit Score" Rule
I implore you to stop the SEC's proposed rule, which it titles "Enhancement and Standardization of Climate-Related Disclosures for Investors" -- this rule is a dangerous step toward implementing a federal "social credit score" on companies and individuals.
This rule will be extremely costly and onerous for businesses. It will also hurt consumers and raise prices (and we're already experiencing historic inflation).
It is also a dangerous step toward the federal government implementing a "social credit score." Social credit scores are dangerous because they result in individuals or entities being ostracized because they don't comply with what the government's or elite's demands.
Please stop and repeal the SEC's proposed rule, and also consider abolishing this blatantly-unconstitutional agency.
