The House and Senate already passed gun control last month – including Red Flag Gun Confiscation Laws. And yet, that gun control package failed to prevent another tragic shooting from happening in the extremely anti-gun state of Illinois that had *already* had Red Flag Gun Confiscation Laws on the books. Voting to shred the Second Amendment about 100 days out from the midterm elections would also be politically damaging. Bill Clinton blames his massive midterm losses in 1994 on his passage of the semi-auto ban AND the Brady Bill. In fact, GOA surveyed 17,000 gun owners and found that 97% would NOT vote to re-elect a legislator who votes for an “assault weapons” ban. GOA has already BLASTED the names of the 50 Democrats and 15 Republicans who voted to gut the Second Amendment in June. You can be certain that if any Senator in this state votes for this “assault weapons” ban, GOA will inform me and every other gun-owning voter all the way up until Election Day.
