As your constituent, I urge you to DEFUND the ATF. To implement the Biden-Harris Administration’s crackdown on pistol braces, the ATF will soon turn to Congress for funding. Owners of over 40,000,000 braced weapons will soon have to complete an updated form that requires giving the ATF our name, Social Security number, address, phone number, email, payment information, FINGERPRINTS, as well as the make, model, and serial number of our firearm – and provide photographic evidence. That’s a gross abuse of power. The federal government has no right to such extensive information on citizens’ firearms. But it’s not enough just to prevent funding for this pistol brace crackdown. I’m also calling on you to introduce a bill in the House to DEFUND the entire ATF. A federal agency that could collect fingerprints of U.S. citizens in order for them to exercise a constitutionally protected right doesn’t deserve a single penny of taxpayer dollars. Frankly, it should not even exist.
