Lidia Thorpe has shown throughout her time in the Senate that she has no respect for the Senate, our laws, and our country. She is not fit to be a Senator. Her lack of integrity is a blight on our democracy. You must expel her from the Greens now and demand her resignation as a Senator.

Lidia Thorpe mocked her senate oath, abused elders, cheered the burning of Old Parliament House, and now it turns out she dated a bikie while on a law enforcement committee. She lacks the basic integrity required to hold public office. She has to go. If she won’t resign herself, you must expel her from the Greens.

Senator Thorpe has compromised the integrity of the Parliament by carrying on a relationship with a bikie and with her long record of bad behaviour. If your calls for integrity in politics mean anything, you must do more than remove her from leadership positions in your party. Revoke her Greens membership and demand her resignation from the Senate.
