Vote NO on a so-called “assault weapons” ban
As your constituent, I urge you to VOTE NO on any legislation that bans so-called “assault weapons” in the Senate.
The ban passed by the House earlier this year is so expansive that it would not only ban AR-15s – the most popular rifle in America – it would also ban many Glock handguns and 1911s.
The bill also exempts IRS and other federal agents from the ban.
That means the most popular weapons in America could still be used by tax collectors, but not taxpaying citizens like me.
I also urge you to vote against ANY bill that this ban may be added to.
Because make no mistake: you will not be able to hide your vote behind another piece of legislation.
Gun Owners of America will dig through every piece of legislation to inform me whether you voted for a bill that secretly enabled a ban on commonly-owned firearms.
Do not ban self-defense firearms
