In the November General Election, gun voters across North Carolina sent a message to NC Republicans - Go on OFFENSE for our gun rights! The voters expanded your majorities in both the House and the Senate, and now they demand that you get to work fighting for freedom. That's why I'm encouraging you to sponsor, co-sponsor, publicly support, and push for Constitutional Carry legislation in your chamber! Constitutional Carry is long overdue here in North Carolina, and it simply states that if you are legal to own a firearm, you should be able to carry that firearm without having to beg for permission from a tyrannical government for permission! Government has no business regulating a Constitutional right, and it needs to end immediately. And before you tell me we don't have enough votes to override Governor Cooper's veto - don't. All that needs to happen is for every Republican to show up, vote for our gun rights, and get ONE pro-gun Democrat on board. And gun owners know who the swing votes are. So please don't delay and don't be shy. FIGHT for our freedom! After the mandate that the voters across North Carolina gave to Republican legislators in Raleigh, it's time to go on offense NOW! We have suffered long enough not being able to enjoy some of the same freedoms that our neighbors enjoy like Constitutional Carry, and not having to beg for a special permit from from the state (increasingly tyrannical!) just to purchase a handgun! Our gun laws are so far backwards, and gun voters like me demand that you do something about it! Politicians of both political parties in North Carolina and across the country have been elected or reelected on a pro-gun platform! I understand that your party on a national level does not respect our gun rights, but this is North Carolina - a pro-gun state! This cannot be refuted, because gun voters like me expanded the pro-gun majority in Raleigh despite Michael Bloomberg and the anti-gun special interest groups best efforts to flip our legislature - and we demand action to protect and expand our gun rights. Unless you want to be a permanent minority in our state, I suggest that you get on board with our Second Amendment freedoms and support our non-infringeable right to keep and bear arms! Instead of fighting against my gun rights, please support common-sense gun laws like Constitutional Carry and repealing our worthless Permit to Purchase law.
