As your constituent, I am very upset that you think you know better than the parents of our district how to raise their children. Parents have the God-given right to raise their children as they see fit, and that includes choosing how and where they are educated. Your decision to hold legislation in your drawer that would give parents the control and resources to send their children to their school of choice is very disappointing. Trust parents and give this bill the hearing that it deserves.

God entrusted parents to make decisions for their children. That includes making the decisions on how and where their children are educated. As your constituent, I am deeply troubled by reports that you are standing in the way of parents and their right to choose the best educational environments for their children by putting a bill in your drawer that would help parents with the resources to pay for the education that works best for them. Dave, we need you to be a leader, not an obstructionist. Give this legislation a hearing, and show us you trust parents!
