Res. 44 (disapproving of Biden’s pistol brace ban) and to bring it to the floor for a vote as soon as possible. Banning pistol braces will not save a single life, but it will instantly turn millions of lawful gun owners into felons unless you take action. I also encourage you to prevent another tragedy by repealing President Biden’s failed Gun Free School Zones Act and passing legislation that allows willing parents, teachers, and school staff to be armed in defense of their children. This is by far the most effective way to deter would-be mass shooters. No mass shooting has EVER occurred during school hours where armed teachers are present! Rep. Thomas Massie introduced legislation (H.R. 7415) to that effect last year, and language from that bill could easily be included as an amendment to any must-pass bill. A “gun free zone” did NOTHING to save any lives at the Christian Elementary School in Tennessee. In fact, it actually ENABLED the tragic shooting. The shooter originally considered another target, but opted not to shoot people there because the place was more heavily guarded.
