I urge you to oppose the RESTRICT Act (S. 686). This bill would restrict our freedom and amount to the largest expansion of the unconstitutional surveillance state since the Patriot Act. This bill would criminalize millions of Americans for doing what today are mundane activities, such as using a VPN. Also, the bill would impose severe penalties, including a $1 million criminal fine or a 20-year jail sentence, for accessing a website that the government restricts. We shouldn't become like China in order to defeat China. S. 686 is an unconstitutional overreach. Please oppose this bill.

I implore you to oppose and reject S. 686, the RESTRICT Act. This is a second Patriot Act that will expand the police state to the largest ever seen. This bill is touted as a "TikTok ban," but this is false. It would give the government enormous power to restrict what we can access online. Government must never have that much power. Instead of expanding government, you should limit it. Accordingly, oppose S. 686 and any other similar bill.

Please oppose and vote against S. 686, titled the "RESTRICT Act." This bill is an unconstitutional overreach that will threaten our liberties. S. 686 won't just ban TikTok -- it will allow the federal government to ban any site or service if it's connected in some way to a country that the federal government deems harmful. And, it will impose criminal penalties on Americans who attempt to access those banned services. S. 686 is tyrannical, and it will affect millions of Americans. Please oppose it.

I strongly request that you oppose the RESTRICT ACT, or S. 686. It is shameful for Congress to be looking at, once again, expanding the already-massive surveillance state and eroding our freedom. The U.S. Constitution doesn't authorize measures such as S. 686, and "national security" shouldn't be an excuse to restrict our freedom. It's your duty to abide by the Constitution, and doing this involves rejecting tyrannical legislation like S. 686. Oppose the RESTRICT Act.

I urge you to oppose S. 686 (RESTRICT Act), and also oppose any bill that expands the police state in any way. S. 686 is a dangerous assault on our Constitution and our liberty. The federal government is growing quickly, and our government has far exceeded the limits enumerated in the Constitution. By expanding the police state, violating due process, and putting millions of Americans at risk of being prosecuted, the RESTRICT Act is another unconstitutional violation. Please oppose the RESTRICT Act (S. 686) and instead support limited, constitutional government.
