Stay out of politics!
To the Chair and Board
I am writing to express my concerns and frustration regarding the involvement of big businesses including yours in influencing voting decisions.
Current issues including the Voice to Parliament referendum are dividing Australians.
While I understand that corporations have the right to express their views, I believe it is crucial to maintain the integrity of our democratic process.
By refraining from telling people how to vote, your company can play a vital role in preserving equal representation and promoting an independent electorate.
As an Australian who has a single vote, and not your millions in corporate profits, I am asking you to stay out of politics!
Respect diverse values
Attn: Chair and Board
As an ardent advocate for democratic principles, I wanted to bring to your attention the potential negative implications of big businesses influencing voting decisions.
Your massive donations of corporate profits to just one side of the Voice referendum is sending the message that you are dismissing the concerns of the 50% of the country – including many of your customers!
So could you back off?
By respecting the autonomy of individuals and refraining from interfering in their voting choices, your company can help foster a diverse and inclusive society.
Let us champion the value of independent thought and decision-making, allowing citizens to make informed choices based on their own values, beliefs, and understanding of the issues at stake.
And as a customer – it honestly makes me feel that Bunnings and Kmart just don’t share my values at all.
Stop dividing your customers
Attn: Board of Directors
The referendum on the Indigenous Voice to Parliament is a divisive issue that is splitting Aussies apart. And your involvement is unwanted.
The democratic process, the foundation of our society, relies on the equal representation of all citizens.
It is with this in mind that I am urgently requesting your company to stay out of politics and avoid attempting to sway public opinion.
By doing so, you can protect against the potential economic coercion that may arise, ensuring that individuals can exercise their right to vote without fear of adverse consequences.
Together, let us uphold the principles of freedom, autonomy, and equality in our democracy.
Let everyone be heard!
Re: Wesfarmers
I know you have given millions to the Yes campaign for the Voice referendum and I wanted to write to raise my concerns about the involvement of big businesses in telling people how to vote.
Our democracy thrives on the diversity of opinions and perspectives, which should not be suppressed by corporate interests.
By avoiding interference in voting decisions, your company can contribute to a more inclusive and equitable society, where alternative viewpoints can flourish.
Let us promote an environment where every citizen's voice is heard and respected, regardless of their socioeconomic background or affiliation.
Stay out of it, please.
Uphold democratic principles!
Attn: Board of Directors
I have been a lifelong customer of Bunnings, Kmart, and Target. Today, I am writing to urge you to maintain your commitment to your successful business and avoid getting involved in telling people how to vote. By allowing citizens to make independent decisions based on their own values, beliefs, and understanding, your company can uphold the principles of freedom, autonomy, and fairness. It is frustrating and disappointing that you have sent me the message that my values are not important to you, and that you would prefer to plough the profits taken from everyday Australians into political causes that are dividing our country. I just don’t think I can shop at your stores anymore.
