Gov. Newsom, Please Sign AB 368
I am writing to urge your support for AB 368 by Assemblymember Holden.
The bill would authorize classes to be provided at the community college campus or the participating high school campus for students to enroll in community college courses free of fees. This bill helps define “underrepresented in higher education” and ensures that there are annual reports to provide students who need this program most are taking advantage of this program.
CCAP partnerships represent a streamlined pathway for students to engage with college courses. It also yields savings by reducing the time it takes to earn a college degree and improves the likelihood of attending a higher education institution after high school completion.
AB 368 (Holden) supports the next generation of students who will accelerate college completion, transfer to four-year colleges and universities, and achieve greater upward socio-economic mobility for themselves and their families.
For these reasons, I respectfully urge your signature on this key bill.
