Please co-sponsor Rep. Clyde’s bill
Rep. Andrew Clyde is about to introduce a bill to the House that would BLOCK the ATF’s Universal Background Registration Check rule (ATF Rule 2022R–17).
GOA just let me know that he’s seeking additional original co-sponsors for it.
As your constituent, I’m urging you to co-sponsor his bill.
It would “prohibit the use of Federal funds to finalize, implement, or enforce” the ATF’s rule, leaving them powerless to use it against gun owners like me.
ATF Rule 2022R–17 is a catastrophe for gun owners.
It could require anyone who earns a profit from selling even just a single firearm to obtain a Federal Firearm License and perform a background registration check.
That would virtually outlaw private firearm sales and give the ATF yet another weapon to use against law-abiding gun owners like me.
Not to mention it would ensure the ATF – which has already illegally compiled a gun registry – has access to the transaction records of nearly every firearm sale in America.
I hope you’ll rally behind Rep. Clyde by co-sponsoring this critical legislation.
I’ll be watching to see if your name appears on the list of co-sponsors – and Gun Owners of America will keep me informed.
