Please support the Pangallo motion
The motion presented by the Honourable Frank Pangallo on 12 and 13 November 2023 is the most important motion this House has faced this year. It concerns the wellbeing of our most precious and vulnerable, our kids and grandkids.
Gender medicine is experimental and irreversible. We as a community deserve to know what is happening and why. After all we pay for it.
Please support this motion.
Experimental gender medicine must be inquired into
I write to ask you to support Frank Pangallo’s motion to hold an inquiry into the treatment of gender dysphoria in our children and young people.
In his speech Frank said “So what is happening here? We have doctors who are conducting a live social experiment with young patients without the proper professional, ethical and efficacy protocols being undertaken for a clinical trial”.
If there is any skerrick of truth in this, then Parliament must inquire into it. It is beyond belief that we will allow a live social experiment on kids at all, leastways without knowing as much as we can about it.
I urge you to support this motion. Your support will determine my vote at the next election.
Please support inquiry into gender dysphoria treatment
As your constituent I write to plead with you to support the motion for an inquiry into the treatment of kids and young people with gender dysphoria.
In his speech Frank Pangallo quoted a father who helped his 11 year old daughter understand some of the risks of puberty blockers, when the gender clinic failed or refused to do so, who said, “In the end, the day before the first injection, my daughter decided not to proceed. Within days her sleep and anxiety levels improved, the cutting and talk of suicide stopped. But we dodged a bullet—no doubt about it”.
This story alone calls for an inquiry. How could this happen in SA? How could the gender clinic not have explained the risks and have left it to the father to so do? If any part of this is true, we must know.
Please support the motion.
Irreversible treatment on weak evidence? In SA? We must have an inquiry
Frank Pangallo’s speech shows that our gender clinic is subjecting our kids to irreversible hormone treatment with almost no explanation, based on evidence they know is weak.
He said “Dr Georgie Swift, the psychiatrist involved in setting up the gender clinic at the Women's and Children's Hospital in North Adelaide, told a psychiatry conference only last month that the evidence for gender affirming treatment was not robust. Here is what she told the conference:
"I'm reasonably confident to say that no matter where you stand on gender-affirming health care for children and adolescents, that you agree that we need more evidence—our evidence isn't robust, it isn't good enough.”
In other words, the evidence is weak. She went on to say there were "many unknowns in gender medicine, and the impact of quality of life and mental health, and that professionals were still waiting for more evidence.”
We as a community who pay for this clinic are entitled to know, chapter and verse, what is happening.
Please vote for this inquiry. I will be following the vote closely.
The biggest medical scandal this century? Let's find out!
In this speech on 15 November Frank Pangallo quoted a mum who said “We are truly in a war to save our children from harm. We need to stop the harm now. We are in the midst of an enormous medical scandal.”
Government-funded organisations like ACON and TransHub Australia are pushing treatment that is irreversible and experimental on our kids, without our knowledge and consent. We must know about this. They are our kids. It is our money.
Please support Frank Pangallo’s motion. Many of my friends, family and I will use your vote as a guide to how we vote in the next election.
