The recent debacle at Western Heights school district, where the district refused to respond to the concerns of parents who didn’t think a drag queen being the principal of an elementary school was a good idea, is a reminder that we need to change when we have school board elections in Oklahoma. The Western Heights school board president was elected with a total of 328 votes. Not good. Please vote yes on SB 244.

Please support SB 244. The turnout for school board elections in springtime is too low. Claremore and Owasso only had 3% voter turnout. This is too common in too many school districts in Oklahoma.
