I urge you to oppose any reauthorization of FISA. Instead, please enact the Fourth Amendment Restoration and Protection Act (S. 3372). Under FISA, the federal government (including the FBI and NSA) is able to spy on American citizens without needing a warrant. Furthermore, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court utterly fails to provide oversight. FISA cannot be reformed. It must be abolished. Please enact S. 3372, the Fourth Amendment Restoration and Protection Act, to ensure Americans rights, under the Fourth Amendment, are protected.

Please take strong action to restore our 4th Amendment-protected rights, including by enacting the Fourth Amendment Restoration and Protection Act (S. 3372). Our 4th Amendment rights have been severely eroded. Government regularly spies on American citizens without a warrant, especially under the unconstitutional FISA program. We must return to obeying the Constitution, since the 4th Amendment is an important safeguard for liberty. FISA is a lawless, unaccountable program that blatantly violates the U.S. Constitution. In order to protect Americans' rights, it should be totally abolished. For example, in 2021 alone, the FBI ran about 3 million queries on Americans using Section 702. Tellingly, FBI Director Christopher Wray is vocally opposing even modest reforms to require a warrant. FISA completely disrespects Americans' rights, and it violates to the U.S. Constitution. Please oppose its reauthorization. Instead, please enact S. 3372, which would be a good first step toward reining in unconstitutional, warrantless surveillance.
