Stop HB 2206 - The Electronic Gun Registry Bill
As your constituent and a proud supporter of Gun Owners of America, I am absolutely appalled at the actions taken by House Judiciary Chairman Tim Briggs running HB 2206 without notice.
I am sick and tired of gun control being rammed down my throat and this bill is just another attempt to do so.
HB 2206 will set up all the conditions necessary for the Pennsylvania State Police to enhance their so-called "Record of Sale" system which is nothing more than a backdoor gun registry.
Gun owners across Pennsylvania are not being fooled by the rhetoric claiming that the PSP "Firearm Application/Record of Sale" form (SP4-113) is not a registry. We know better. And HB 2206 would allow the efficient collection of any additional data the government would decide to ask for at the point of sale.
So, I am urging you to vote AGAINST HB 2206 and be sure to tell House Judiciary Chairman Tim Briggs that I consider his actions on this bill to be completely underhanded.
Oppose HB 2206 - The Electronic Gun Registry Bill
As your constituent and a steadfast supporter of Gun Owners of America, I am deeply troubled by the way HB 2206 was brought forward by House Judiciary Chairman Tim Briggs without proper notice.
It is frustrating to see gun control measures continuously forced upon law-abiding citizens, and this bill is yet another alarming example of such actions.
HB 2206 poses a threat as it could potentially pave the way for the Pennsylvania State Police to expand their "Record of Sale" system, essentially enhancing the "de facto" gun registry that already exists.
The attempt to downplay the SP4-113 form as not constituting a registry is not fooling gun owners in Pennsylvania; we see through the guise and understand the potential implications of such data collection at the point of sale.
I urge you to vote NO on HB 2206 and make it clear to Chairman Tim Briggs that his tactics surrounding this bill are deceptive and unacceptable.
HB 2206 is just a gun registry bill - VOTE NO!
As your constituent and supporter of Gun Owners of America, I am deeply troubled by the unexpected push to advance HB 2206 by House Judiciary Chairman Tim Briggs. This bill poses a serious threat to our constitutional liberties by paving the way for an expanded gun registry disguised as a "Record of Sale" system through the Pennsylvania State Police.
It is frustrating to witness another attempt to impose unnecessary gun control measures on law-abiding citizens. The argument that the SP4-113 form is not a "de facto" registry is unconvincing to those of us who see through the government's intentions. HB 2206 could enable the collection of additional data at the point of sale, further infringing on our privacy and rights.
I implore you to oppose HB 2206 and convey my strong objections to Chairman Tim Briggs for his questionable handling of this bill. Gun owners in Pennsylvania are vigilant and will not stand idly by as our freedoms are eroded.
Vote NO on HB 2206 - The Electronic Firearm Registry Bill
As a concerned constituent and a strong supporter of Gun Owners of America, I am deeply troubled by the recent actions surrounding HB 2206, particularly how it was rushed through by House Judiciary Chairman Tim Briggs without proper notice.
This bill, if passed, would only serve to further encroach on our Second Amendment rights and potentially pave the way for a hidden gun registry under the guise of a "Record of Sale" system.
It is unacceptable that gun control measures continue to be pushed without full transparency and consideration for the concerns of law-abiding gun owners across Pennsylvania.
The proposed enhancements to the PSP "Firearm Application/Record of Sale" form (SP4-113) outlined in HB 2206 are concerning as they could easily lead to increased data collection by the government at the point of sale.
I urge you to stand against HB 2206 and send a clear message to Chairman Tim Briggs that such underhanded tactics have no place in legislation that impacts our constitutional rights. Gun owners in our state deserve better, and it is crucial that our voices are heard and respected.
