It is not too late for judicial reform
As a concerned citizen in our community and one of your constituents, I urge you to allow the people of our state to decide if they want to repeal the Judicial Nominating Commission.
Let the people decide if they want to replace the current system with a process more aligned with the principles of the U.S. Constitution’s model of selecting Oklahoma Supreme Court justices.
The Speaker of the House and the Senate Pro Tem can file and pass a new bill to send a proposed constitutional amendment to repeal the JNC to a vote of the people anytime during session. And session doesn’t even end until May 31st, so there is still time. I hope this happens.
Will you please ask them to file and pass a joint bill just like SJR 34?
Thank you! This is crucial for ensuring transparency and accountability in our judicial system.
Repealing the JNC can still happen
As a constituent in your district, I urge you to support sending a constitutional amendment to a vote of the people to repeal the Judicial Nominating Commission. It is crucial that the voters of Oklahoma have a say in determining the future of the JNC. Replacing the JNC with a system like the U.S. Constitution's method for selecting Supreme Court justices would bring about much-needed reform. It is not too late to do this during this session, which doesn’t end until May 31st.
Please ask House Speaker McCall and Senate Pro Tem Treat to jointly file and pass a new bill just like SJR 34 before session ends.
Your help making this happen is greatly appreciated.
The people should vote on repealing the JNC
As a constituent in your district, I urge you to support sending a constitutional amendment to a vote of the people to repeal the Judicial Nominating Commission (JNC). It's essential that the voters of Oklahoma have a say in determining the future of the JNC.
Replacing the JNC with a system like the tried-and-true U.S. Constitution's method for selecting Supreme Court justices would bring about much-needed reform to our judicial system.
Please urge the House Speaker and Senate Pro Tem to file a joint bill, now, during session. They can even use the same language from SJR 34. I hope that happens. Session isn’t over until May 31st, so time is of the essence.
Your support on this matter is greatly appreciated.
Let’s get this done now
As a constituent in your area, I urge you to ask the Speaker of the House and the Senate Pro Tem to jointly file and pass a bill to put repealing the Judicial Nominating Commission on the ballot in November.
It is crucial that the people of Oklahoma have a say in the future of the JNC. Replacing the JNC with a system like the one outlined in The U.S. Constitution for selecting Supreme Court justices is vital.
It is not too late to get this done. Session isn’t over until May 31st, so please help make this happen.
The voters should make an informed decision on this important issue this year.
Thank you for your service to our state.
We need transparency in our courts
As a constituent in your district, I urge you to support sending a constitutional amendment to a vote of the people to repeal the Judicial Nominating Commission (JNC).
Since the U.S. Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision 2 years ago, overturning Roe v. Wade, the JNC’s Oklahoma Supreme Court threw out five major pro-life laws passed by the state Legislature and signed by the Governor. This doesn’t sound like Oklahoma values to me.
Replacing the JNC with a system like the U.S. Constitution's method for selecting Supreme Court justices would bring about much-needed reform and restore trust in our judicial system. And this reform can still happen this session. The House Speaker and Senate Pro Tem can file a joint bill just like SJR 34, and pass it, all before May 31st. Will you ask them to do this?
Oklahoma values are at stake.
Thank you so much.
Improve Oklahoma courts
This is an urgent matter. Please allow Oklahoma voters this November to repeal the JNC and replace it with the U.S. Constitution’s process for selecting Supreme Court justices—the Governor nominates, and the Legislature confirms or rejects.
You can ensure this happens by asking the Senate Pro Tem and Speaker of the House to jointly file a bill using the same language as SJR 34 and pass it before session ends on May 31st.
There is still time to put a proposed constitutional amendment on the ballot for voters to decide.
Since the Oklahoma Supreme Court continues to legislate from the bench, we need to have greater accountability to Oklahoma’s judiciary, please help make this happen.
Thank you for all you do.
It is not too late to improve Okla courts
Judicial reform is still a priority for me.
As a constituent in your district, I am asking that you please put repealing the Judicial Nominating Commission on the ballot this November. It is not too late. The House Speaker and Senate Pro Tem can jointly file a bill and pass it before the end of session, which isn’t until May 31st. But there is no time to waste.
Will you ask Speaker McCall and Senate Pro Tem Treat to do this?
The JNC has produced an Oklahoma Supreme Court that veers to the left and legislates from the bench. At the very least the people of Oklahoma should get to decide if they like this system or would rather replace it with the U.S. Constitution's model for selecting judges for our state’s highest court.
Please let the people decide. Thank you for your service.
Judicial reform still a priority
The current process for selecting Supreme Court justices in Oklahoma is too secretive and is resulting in a liberal-leaning state Supreme Court that is out of touch with Oklahoma values.
Under current law, the Legislature is unable to address this situation effectively. Please provide an opportunity for change by allowing voters to have a say.
You can help put the repeal of the Judicial Nominating Commission (JNC) on the ballot this November. SJR 34 was a good bill, and the Speaker McCall and Senate Pro Tem Treat can jointly file a bill with the same language and pass it before session ends on May 31st. Please ask them to do this.
It's time to bring transparency and accountability to the selection process of our state's highest court.
Thanks
Time to reform the judicial selection process
The way we pick Supreme Court justices in Oklahoma is too secretive. People don’t even get to see how the Judicial Nominating Commission vets judges. Please put repealing the JNC on the ballot this November. Let the people decide.
Session ends May 31st, but I know Speaker McCall and Senate Pro Tem Treat can jointly file and pass a bill using SJR 34’s language before the end of session. Will you urge them to do so?
Imagine if we could repeal the JNC—a secretive process—and replace it with the U.S. Constitution’s model for selecting state Supreme Court justices, which would bring transparency and accountability to our judiciary. That would be great.
Thank you
The people must decide on the JNC
Putting something on the ballot this November to repeal our state’s liberal Judicial Nominating Commission is still a top priority for me.
The Speaker and the Senate Pro Tem can still file a new bill with the language from SJR 34. I hope this happens. Session isn’t over until May 31st. Please ask the Speaker McCall and Senate Pro Tem Treat to make this happen.
This is very important.
Thanks so much!
Now is the time to improve our courts
Thank you for serving in the Legislature.
Judicial reform is still a top priority for me. We cannot continue to allow the liberal trial attorney bar to have too much influence over who is nominated to Oklahoma’s Supreme Court.
It's time to put this change on the ballot this November and let the voters decide! The Speaker and Senate Pro Tem can still file a new bill with the language from SJR 34. It is not too late, yet. Please ask them to file and pass a new bill before session concludes on May 31st.
Thank you
