Just say "NO" to gun control in Governor Shapiro's budget
As your constituent and a proud supporter of Gun Owners of America, I ask that you oppose any gun control measures in Governor Shapiro's budget.
Shapiro proposes to establish the Office of Gun Violence in the Pennsylvania Commission for Crime and Delinquency. This new office would be nothing more than a propaganda machine to justify more calls for gun control. Plus, the $37.5 million increase for the Violence Intervention and Prevention program is nothing more than government pork to nonprofits, schools, and municipalities that are usually hostile to my Second Amendment rights.
If that wasn't bad enough, Shapiro's budget calls for an additional $1.5 million to increase staffing at the Pennsylvania State Police to audit and harass lawful firearms retailers. The budget would also allocate more staff to the Pennsylvania Criminal Intelligence Center (PaCIC) to expand social media monitoring to "intervene before online grievances escalate to violence."
I don't want the Pennsylvania State Police spying on my social media in some Orwellian scheme to monitor my behavior.
And it couldn't be clearer that Shapiro wants to put as many firearms retailers out of business as he can, just like the Biden Administration.
In summary, I urge you to gut Shapiro's gun control budget and eliminate these egregious assaults on my Article 1, Section 21 rights and my right to privacy.
Gun Owners of America will keep me informed.
Slash Shapiro's Gun Control Budget!
As your constituent and a strong supporter of Gun Owners of America, I implore you to stand firmly against any gun control measures proposed in Governor Shapiro's budget.
Governor Shapiro's plan to establish the Office of Gun Violence within the Pennsylvania Commission for Crime and Delinquency is concerning. This office appears to be a tool for promoting more restrictive gun control laws rather than addressing the root causes of violence. Additionally, the increased funding for the Violence Intervention and Prevention program seems more like a wasteful allocation of resources to entities that may not respect our constitutional rights.
Furthermore, the proposal to allocate $1.5 million to expand the Pennsylvania State Police's auditing of lawful firearms retailers and increase monitoring through the Pennsylvania Criminal Intelligence Center is alarming. We must not allow such intrusive measures that could violate our privacy and target law-abiding citizens.
It is evident that Governor Shapiro's budget aims to undermine our Second Amendment rights and jeopardize the livelihood of firearms retailers, mirroring the actions of the current administration at the federal level.
I urge you to take a stand against these invasive and unnecessary measures in Governor Shapiro's budget
Thank you for representing our interests and upholding our constitutional rights.
Gut Governor Shapiro's Gun Control Budget
As your constituent and a proud supporter of Gun Owners of America, I urge you to stand against any gun control measures proposed in Governor Shapiro's budget. Shapiro's plan to create the Office of Gun Violence in the Pennsylvania Commission for Crime and Delinquency is deeply concerning as it could serve as a platform for pushing for stricter gun regulations.
The proposed $37.5 million increase for the Violence Intervention and Prevention program seems like a wasteful allocation of funds and another vehicle for backdoor gun control. Additionally, the plan to allocate $1.5 million for expanding staff at the Pennsylvania State Police to monitor lawful firearms retailers and social media activities is a blatant invasion of privacy.
We must not allow government overreach to infringe upon our Second Amendment rights or compromise our right to privacy. It is crucial that you oppose these intrusive measures that only serve to undermine our freedoms.
Gun Owners of America will continue to keep us informed, and I trust that you will do your part to protect our constitutional rights against such overbearing initiatives.
Reject Governor Shapiro's Gun Control Budget
As your constituent and a strong supporter of Gun Owners of America, I urge you to stand against any gun control measures proposed in Governor Shapiro's budget.
Shapiro's plan to create the Office of Gun Violence within the Pennsylvania Commission for Crime and Delinquency seems like a thinly veiled attempt to push for more gun control policies. The proposed $37.5 million increase for the Violence Intervention and Prevention program appears to be nothing more than wasteful spending benefiting organizations that may not fully respect our constitutional rights.
Additionally, the allocation of $1.5 million to expand the Pennsylvania State Police's auditing and monitoring of lawful firearms retailers is concerning. The idea of increasing surveillance on social media through the Pennsylvania Criminal Intelligence Center is alarming and raises serious privacy concerns.
It is evident that Governor Shapiro's budget seeks to undermine our Second Amendment rights and invade our privacy. I urge you to oppose these intrusive measures and protect our constitutional freedoms.
Rest assured that Gun Owners of America will continue to provide updates on this matter.
