Amend DOI Funding resolutions for 2025
My request is that Congress amend the 2025 budget Allocation to direct the Department of Interior, Bureau of Land Management to curtail their use of funds which produce negative outcomes for the environmental health of public lands.
Specifically my request is to reduce the 2025 budget request from the Bureau of Land Management to preclude use of funds from the 2025 and prior allocations for the purpose of rounding up wild horses and burros from public lands.
Suggested Language:
"None of the funds made available by this Act may be used by the Bureau of Land Management to remove wild horses and burros from public lands. “
Revise DOI Funding resolutions for the year 2025.
I am requesting a modification to the 2025 budget allocation that instructs the Department of Interior, Bureau of Land Management to refrain from using funds that result in negative environmental impacts on public lands.
I propose a revision to the 2025 budget allocation to prohibit the Bureau of Land Management from utilizing any funds from the 2025 and previous allocations for the rounding up of wild horses and burros on public lands.
Recommended language:
"No funds appropriated by this Act shall be expended by the Bureau of Land Management for the removal of wild horses and burros from public lands."
Revise 2025 DOI Funding Resolutions
I kindly urge Congress to consider amending the 2025 budget Allocation to instruct the Department of Interior, Bureau of Land Management to minimize the use of funds that have detrimental effects on the environmental well-being of public lands.
I specifically call for a reduction in the 2025 budget request allocated to the Bureau of Land Management to prevent the utilization of funds from both the 2025 budget and previous allocations for the purpose of capturing wild horses and burros from public lands.
One suggested language for this amendment is as follows: "None of the funds appropriated by this Act shall be utilized by the Bureau of Land Management for the removal of wild horses and burros from public lands."
