Respectful Objection to Senator's Votes and Rhetoric on Israel
I am writing as your constituent to express my deep dismay and disappointment regarding your recent vote to block U.S. aid to Israel. Additionally, I am extremely concerned about statements you have made in recent media appearances, including those with hosts who are notorious for their anti-Israel bias and for consistently demonizing the Jewish state. Your statements that Israel is currently “indiscriminately bombing” Gaza and committing “ethnic cleansing” are wholly inaccurate, offensive, and truly dangerous. The fact that Hamas, the perpetrators of the October 7th massacre, is still holding over one hundred hostages, including several American citizens, was left unmentioned. I am further offended by your recent op-ed in the Washington Post, where in addition to repeating the baseless charge of human rights violations, you completely glossed over UNRWA’s complicity in the October 7th massacre, and called for immediate recognition of a Palestinian state despite the fact that no Palestinian organization of any influence has yet demonstrated any commitment to a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
I respectfully but firmly implore you to change your tone.
