OK needs good options for justice selection
In November of last year, Oklahomans made their voices heard. For the first time in state history, a sitting Oklahoma Supreme Court justice was not retained at the ballot box. As you know, the Judicial Nominating Commission (JNC) is currently vetting candidates to send to Governor Stitt to replace Justice Kauger.
It is vitally important that the JNC selects and sends three exceptional candidates who will uphold the law based on its public meaning, rather than their own political preferences.
Both the Senate and the House of Representatives have a representative on the JNC. I am asking you to contact the representative from your elected body, as well as the attorney member and lay member from your part of the state, and urge them to prioritize sending candidates to the governor who are committed to judicial integrity and impartiality.

Thank you for your continued leadership and commitment to ensuring a judiciary that serves the people of Oklahoma.
Send three exceptional candidates for justice
Oklahoma voters took an unprecedented step last November by voting not to retain a sitting Supreme Court justice for the first time in our state’s history. This outcome sends a clear message: Oklahomans expect a judiciary that reflects Oklahoma values and upholds the law.
The Judicial Nominating Commission (JNC) is responsible for sending Governor Stitt three nominees for the seat formerly held by Justice Kauger. These nominees must be individuals who adhere to the law, free from political influence.
Since the JNC includes representatives from both the Senate and House, I respectfully ask that you reach out to your representative, along with the attorney and lay members from your area, to ensure they nominate exceptional candidates.
