Maintain Medicaid expansion
Medicaid expansion has been critical in keeping Idaho residents healthy. Idaho voters knew this when 61% of them voted in support of expansion in 2018. Low-wage workers, or employees at small businesses don't always have access to traditional employer-provided insurance, or health plans on the state exchange. Medicaid expansion closes that gap and keeps working residents healthy, with access to preventative and diagnostic care that can address small problems before they become big, costly-to-treat problems.
Voters recognized the need for the expanded Medicare program and voted in overwhelming favor of it. I'm asking you to honor their vote. A healthy economy needs a healthy workforce! Please vote NO on H0058 and H0138.
Medicaid expansion benefits rural areas
Many Idahoans and hospitals in rural areas depend on Medicaid expansion. People who live in these rural areas already have limited access to care and expansion helps to fill that gap. Struggling rural hospitals will strain to stay financially viable and the impact will be dire on the community.
Please vote NO on H0058 and H0138.
Keep Idaho Insured with Medicaid expansion
The recent threat to Medicaid expansion means that more than 87,000 Idahoans will lose their healthcare coverage. This impact will be dire without safety net programs in place like the Catastrophic Healthcare Fund or County Indigent programs. Repealing expansion will increase the number of uninsured Idahoans and the amount of uncompensated care - creating further barriers to care and shifting costs to other payers.
Repealing Medicaid expansion is bad for everyone. Please vote NO on H0058 and H0138.
Healthy Workforce = Healthy Economy
Repealing Medicaid expansion means more than 87,000 Idahoans will lose access to the preventative care that keeps our workforce healthy, which in turn, keeps our economy healthy. Medicaid expansion helps to ensure that Idahoans who are working but don't have employer-provided insurance or can't afford it otherwise can still get the care they need. This is not only important for them, but also the small businesses across this state that employ them.
A healthy economy needs a healthy workforce! Please vote NO on H0058 and H0138.
Repealing Medicaid expansion is bad for Idaho
Repealing Medicaid expansion will increase the number of uninsured Idahoans, which will negatively affect hospitals and the communities they serve. Removing this safety net will have a dire impact on our hospitals and their ability to stay financially viable, especially in rural communities. More than 87,000 Idahoans will become uninsured and costs will shift, increasing the cost of healthcare for everyone.
Any attempt to repeal Medicaid expansion will be harmful to our economy, healthcare system, and community. Vote no on H0058 and H0138!
Medicaid expansion is a win for Idaho!
Medicaid expansion has brought almost a billion dollars back into Idaho's economy! This has created thousands of jobs and supported local healthcare, businesses, and families. Repealing Medicaid expansion now will undo all the benefits and cost savings to the state.
Please vote NO on H0058 and H0138.
Protect rural areas by protecting Medicaid expansion
Repealing Medicaid expansion will disproportionately affect rural communities and their hospitals. Access to care in these areas is already limited, but with an increased number of uninsured Idahoans and no safety net, healthcare providers will struggle to keep their hospitals financially viable. Medicaid expansion helps to decrease the number of uninsured Idahoans and the amount of uncompensated care.
Please vote NO on H0058 and H0138.
Medicaid expansion is good for our state's economy
Medicaid expansion helped to put almost a billion dollars into our state economy by keeping people at work. Our economy is healthy in Idaho, and our workforce has the opportunity to be healthy too. We need to maintain accessible healthcare to keep it that way.
Please vote NO on H0058 and H0138.
Idahoans support Medicaid expansion
In 2018, 61% of Idaho voters voted in support of Medicaid Expansion. Polling says 73% of Idahoans support expansion. Repealing Medicaid expansion will disproportionately affect rural communities and hospitals by increasing the number of uninsured Idahoans and the amount of uncompensated care. In areas where access to care is already limited, Medicaid expansion must be maintained to keep all of our communities healthy, not just the cities.
Help represent the best interest of Idahoans and vote NO on H0058 and H0138.
Medicaid expansion fills the behavioral health gap in Idaho
Medicaid is now the major coverage source for behavioral health services like substance use and psychiatric treatment. About 1/3 of Idahoans on Medicaid expansion have a serious mental illness. Idaho is critically underserved when it comes to behavioral health and maintaining expansion is vital to fill the gap.
Please vote NO on H0058 and H0138.
Reject auto pilot policy making
Now is not the time to put legislation on auto pilot when proposals are being considered in Washington, D.C. that could impact the Medicaid program. We don't know what this program will look like a year from now or which waivers will still exist by July 2026. Don't put policies in place that generate automatic outcomes without review by policy makers.
Please vote NO on H0058 and H0138.
Rural areas rely on Medicaid expansion
Repealing Medicaid expansion will have a dire impact on our state's rural areas. As resources to pay for care start to diminish, medical debt will start to increase in these areas, stifling economic growth. Many Idahoans in these areas rely on this program to access care and will start to experience dire consequences without it. Make sure our rural communities don't get overlooked and vote to maintain Medicaid expansion.
Please vote NO on H0058 and H0138.
Medicaid expansion Saves Idaho Money!
When considering repealing Medicaid expansion please consider the millions of dollars that the state saves with this program. The federal dollars that come into Idaho for Medicaid expansion creates more jobs for Idahoans and generates more than $700 million in gross state product, with a total economic output of $1.5 billion dollars. Medicaid expansion is good for the economy, Idahoans, and our hospitals.
Please vote NO on H0058 and H0138.
Now is not the time to act on Medicaid expansion
With the increasing number of new policies coming out of Washington, D.C., now is not the time to put legislation on auto pilot when we don't know what Medicaid will look like a year from now. As various proposals with impacts to Medicaid are being considered in congress, we can't be certain which waivers will still exist by July 2026. Don't put policies in place that have automatic outcomes without review by policy makers.
