Please Fix Alabama's Road Crisis
The average Alabama driver spends $507 per year in additional vehicle operating maintenance costs due to poor road quality.
A quality highway system is the #1 most important factor when companies consider selecting a place to expand or locate a new business, but seven Southeastern states are spending more than Alabama on their roads in order to increase the quality of their transportation system.
More than 2,000 traffic fatalities occurred on Alabama’s roadways from 2016 to 2017. On a per capita basis, that is one of the highest rates in the country.
You can make a difference. We need better, safer roads in Alabama and we need to start now. Please support this critical effort.
Public Safety
We deserve better. Our children deserve better. Our communities deserve better. Alabama
deserves better roads. We must come together to protect against the dangerous driving
conditions on Alabama roads. It only takes one pot hole, one unrepaired bridge, or one flat tire to dramatically change a family forever. Help prevent this by investing in safer, better roads for all Alabama.
Public Safety
Isn’t the role of the government to protect those whom they serve? If this is true, then why are Alabama’s roadways some of the most unsafe in the country? Too many people die on our roadways each year and it’s time to do something about it. We need to make Alabama’s roadways and bridges safer for the Alabama families who use them every day.
The time to act is NOW! You can make a difference. Alabama needs our leaders to step up and fix this problem.
Economic Development
It’s time to invest in Alabama’s future. Alabama is seeing an economic boom as the result of pro-business policies and a quality workforce.
There’s only one problem: our infrastructure is falling apart.
Because our roads and bridges are in a state of disrepair and have been neglected for years, businesses are looking elsewhere rather than Alabama. An efficient highway system has been ranked as the #1 most important factor when selecting a place to expand or locate a new business and Alabama is trailing its competitors in this area. Seven other Southeastern states spend more on roads and bridges than we do.
We cannot allow this to continue.
Join the movement and army of people demanding our infrastructure be repaired!
Better Roads = More Jobs
You wouldn’t buy a new car and never change the oil, or replace the tires? So, why should we never repair the roads our cars drive on?
Alabama is becoming an auto-manufacturing powerhouse because people see that Alabamians are hardworking folks who value doing business the right way. We cannot afford to lose the investment these companies have made in our state because of our inefficient infrastructure.
We must protect our drivers, our workforce, and our future. Support our cause and stand with Alabama!
Individual Savings
While Alabama’s economy is on the rise, we can always do more to save the hard-working Alabamian more money. More money to feed our families, or take a family trip, or to save for a new home.
But with the awful road conditions in Alabama – The average driver spends $320 per year in additional vehicle operating maintenance costs due to poor road quality. This is money that could be used for home improvement, or new school supplies for our children. I
f something can be done to help our citizens save this money why would we not do it? The equation is simply: spend a little more money to fix Alabama’s roads and bridges which will allow Alabama drivers to save a lot more money on repairs.
