I am writing out of concern about what appears in Google Images searches. Seemingly innocent search terms such as "sex" return hundreds of images for graphic and degrading pornography. I fear children being exposed to this content through Google. Whether for education or out of curiosity, relatively innocent terms like "sex" are likely searched by children. Instead of encountering educational results, these children are exposed to highly disturbing and degrading sexual images. Images such as these can be highly damaging. When children are exposed, it can forever warp their understanding of healthy sexuality. Not to mention, pornography is creating a public health crisis through its addictive nature. In the past, Google Images searches for these terms may produce one or two pornographic results. However, now, these searches are filled with hundreds of disturbing images on the very first page. I ask that you will improve Google Images search results to eliminate exposure to graphic pornography. Seemingly innocent, educational searches should not produce graphic, disturbing results. Until these issues are fixed, I will likely use other image search engines.

I recently read that Google Images returns images of hardcore, graphic pornography when searching for terms such as "sex". I find this to be deeply disturbing and concerning. Often, words like this will be used for educational purposes. Instead of returning school-friendly results that can be used for education, Google is teaching a distorted form of sexuality. Today's pornography is often abusive and violent. It's highly degrading of women. Is this the message that you want to be supporting as a company? Please fix Google Images' algorithms to remove this graphic content. Google must take corporate responsibility seriously and stop promoting unhealthy sexuality.
