I am outraged that Texas is falling farther behind in gun rights. Currently, 31 other states allow permitless open carry; 17 recognize Constitutional Carry and allow permitless concealed carry. HB 357 provides stronger protections against criminals carrying — to the extent that any law can do so — and reduces barriers for law-abiding Texans to carry one of the most proven defensive tools. It is shameful that the Texas legislature did not prioritize this bill, but it’s not too late. Please work with your colleagues to continue to advance HB 357, and work with Gun Owners of America to repeal all infringement on our right to keep and bear arms. Vote for liberty.
