Gun owners in Georgia have been waiting for years for the passage of Constitutional Carry, and now with elections right around the corner, I want to see your public support of it! As you know, Constitutional Carry legislation makes the concealed carry permit optional for law-abiding Georgians. While twenty-one other states have passed this crucial legislation into law, moderate politicians in our General Assembly have done nothing more than farmed the votes of gun owners for years. Then, once they are safely in office, they buried Constitutional Carry legislation in hostile committees. I’m tired of the waiting, and I’m tired of the political double-talk. As your constituent, I am writing to make sure you know that I want to see real action on this legislation immediately. I urge you to co-sponsor, vote for and champion Constitutional Carry this legislative session. Gun owners fought for your caucus in 2020, and we’re sick and tired of waiting for someone to fight for us. This is your chance to step up to the plate before we head to the polls in May for the primaries. Georgia Gun Owners will keep me informed on the status of this legislation throughout the session.

With violent crime exploding across Georgia, something needs to be done. As one of your constituents, I am writing to insist that you co-sponsor, vote for, and publicly champion Constitutional Carry to help us lower our violent crime rates. Anti-gun politicians and media elites love to claim that Constitutional Carry leads to higher crime rates. The reality is that - - just like America saw when ‘Shall-Issue’ swept the country - - Constitutional Carry lowers violent crime rates. This should be no surprise since allowing law abiding citizens to carry firearms always lowers the violent crime rate. But to be clear, while restraining violent criminals is one of the side benefits of Constitutional Carry, this is not the main reason why you should support this legislation. Constitutional Carry is about freedom. It’s about law abiding citizens being able to carry a firearm for self-defense without having to beg permission from their own government or being tracked like a sex offender. That’s why I want you to support this bill which is already law in 21 other states across America. This is an election year, and you can bet that Georgia Gun Owners will keep me informed about the status of this bill.

Law abiding gun owners should never have to be tracked, traced, and registered like sex offenders for exercising our right to keep and bear arms. And we should never have to pay a fee, or have our name added to a database either! The fact of the matter is that Constitutional Carry is about freedom. This freedom is already enjoyed by gun owners in 21 states across the country. I’m sick and tired of the inaction by the General Assembly on Constitutional Carry. This is an election year, and before you come to me looking for votes, donations, and volunteer hours, I want to see you publicly champion this legislation.

Will Brian Kemp and Republicans in Atlanta fight for gun owners and pass Constitutional Carry in 2022, or will they roll the dice with angry gun owners who are going to head to the polls en masse during the May primary? Gun owners have fought hard to stop Michael Bloomberg’s advancement of gun control in the General Assembly. We have fought to keep Georgia free for years! Now it’s time the General Assembly does their job and fights for us. Georgia Gun Owners will keep me informed on the status of this bill.

It doesn’t change anything about our ‘Shall-Issue’ permitting process. Nor does it make it possible for criminals to legally acquire firearms. It would simply restore my Second Amendment freedoms to the way our Founding Fathers indented them to be. 21 states have Constitutional Carry law on the books today. 5 states passed it last year alone, and it’s on the move in 5 more states as we speak. Passing Constitutional Carry will send a message to every gun grabber in the country that Georgia still stands for freedom.
