In fact, he has already submitted an LSR: 2020-2733 SB Title: relative to protective orders for vulnerable adults. This is not acceptable. Any bill that restrains family members will result in a gun ban even if the bill does not specifically say that. Courts will almost certainly force the surrender of firearms as one of the conditions of the protective order and if the local courts don't, the ATF will by virtue of 18USC922(g)(8). HB 696 was properly defeated. Please tell Senator Bradley to drop the idea that vulnerable adults need government protection. When government bureaucrats interfere with family dynamics things generally end badly for the family. GOA told me that there are a multitude of laws already in place, in the New Hampshire criminal code which can be enforced against those who prey on the weak and infirm. Senator Bradley's actions are discrediting the entire Republican Party on the issues of firearms ownership and individual liberty.
