Please support the 2A sanctuary movement
I urge you to reflect on the moral and legal requirements of your Oath of Office to uphold and defend the U.S. and Virginia Constitutions -- both of which affirm the right of individuals to keep and bear arms -- by supporting efforts to have our county support a Second Amendment sanctuary.
Some Richmond legislators are disregarding the same Oath that you take. They seek to confiscate certain commonly used firearms. The proposed legislation for massive confiscation of firearms endorsed by the Governor is itself extremely disruptive of public safety.
Please pledge to not assist these predators who seek to deprive us of our natural and constitutional rights. Please take a public stand by telling the Governor that you will NOT enforce the unconstitutional gun restrictions that he seeks to get passed in January.
Speak out on behalf of Virginia’s law-abiding gun owners
econd Amendment supporters are justly alarmed that the Governor and Members of the General Assembly are proposing legislation which strikes at the heart of our Second Amendment right to Keep and Bear Arms. It is almost beyond belief that we are seeing this happen in Virginia.
That is why I support efforts to have local governments across the state pass a Second Amendment Sanctuary Ordinance.
The Founders of our Nation, with strong support from Virginia statesmen, affirmed as fundamental and beyond compromise, our natural and inalienable right of self-defense.
In fact, widespread objection to ratifying the original Constitution surfaced in state Conventions because the Bill of Rights had not yet been adopted. The First Congress responded by proposing the first Ten Amendments which includes our Second Amendment!
Virginia voters were never informed that electing certain individuals, including our Governor, would result in turning hundreds of thousands of law-abiding citizens of Virginia who own firearms into felons if these objectionable gun confiscation bills pass!
But that is exactly what will happen if the proposed legislation that criminalizes the ownership of certain commonly used firearms passes.
Please do not comply with such unjust and unconstitutional measures and pledge to not assist with their enforcement should these radical gun laws pass in Richmond or Washington DC.
Do not comply with Richmond’s illegal gun control

Lend your voice in support for county 2A sanctuaries
I am asking you to lend your voice in support for our county declaring itself as a Second Amendment sanctuary.
Legislation has been proposed in Richmond which will turn us and our neighbors into felons simply for owning or possessing certain commonly used firearms. This amounts to confiscation of firearms. Some of these guns may have been purchased decades ago and had never been illegal to own in Virginia!
Governor Northam and his supporters in the General Assembly are punishing innocent gun owners for the crimes of the guilty. They are promoting a fundamental injustice in the name of protecting citizens.
The United States signed the Geneva Convention in 1949 which prohibits criminalizing innocent citizens for the actions of others. Collective punishment of the innocent was routinely used by the Nazi’s during World War II against non-combatants and by Communists in occupied nations against private citizens during World War II and afterwards.
Now Governor Northam and his supporters want to adopt these same tactics in Virginia. What are they thinking?
I urge you to do everything possible to uphold the rights of law-abiding citizens who have the inalienable right to defend themselves and their families under our Second Amendment!
I do not think you ran for Sheriff to assist in punishing innocent, law-abiding citizens. Please support the Second Amendment Sanctuary movement by speaking out in favor of these ordinances.
