Thank you for voting “nay” on HB 961
Thank you so very much for voting NO on that awful HB 961, the so-called “Assault Weapons” ban bill.
Your support of our Second Amendment, which acknowledges our inalienable right to keep and bear arms, is much appreciated. I will be sure to let my friends know how you voted.
It is indeed a shame that this unconstitutional bill passed the House. It is surely a wake-up call for gun owners like myself that eternal vigilance is the price of liberty.
The fight against HB 961 is not over for the 2020 session. I hope you will maintain your resolve against this bill and other gun-control legislation.
We know that the long-range goal of the gun control crowd is the complete disarmament of civilians, which usually ushers in socialist and dictatorial governments. Thankfully, our Founders were insistent that our Constitution protect the right to bear arms.
In 2012, Venezuela passed a law disarming its law-abiding citizens to “control crime.” Under HB 961, Virginia citizens cannot buy certain firearms but law enforcement and government agencies can purchase them. Venezuela also prohibited private guns sales but permitted sales to government agencies.
The Communist Maduro regime which passed that anti-gun law now has more violence, especially against law enforcement, and no reduction in crime! Roughly 400,000 of the guns Maduro’s government confiscated were given to their loyal thugs who now use the weapons against their political enemies.
Venezuela’s gun confiscation was made easier by their previous gun registration. We can never allow that to happen in Virginia!
Thank you again for your vote against HB 961.
You should know that Gun Owners of America is telling people throughout your district that you voted to oppose gun confiscation.
Thank you, again.
Thanks for opposing the ban on commonly-owned firearms
