I am a constituent, and I urge you to take strong action to rein in the pandemic powers of executive branch officials and other health bureaucrats. Especially since COVID-19 began, unelected bureaucrats and other officials issued sweeping unilateral edicts without needing any legislative input. This is outrageous, especially since it's the legislature that's supposed to make laws. These unilateral edits were made on other topics, and also before COVID-19, but the pandemic has shown why it's so dangerous to concentrate power like this, especially into the hands of unelected bureaucrats or executive branch officials. Take strong action to rein in their power and restore the rule of law.

As your constituent, I ask you to take strong action to limit gubernatorial and bureaucratic powers. The coronavirus has showed us the danger of centralized and accumulated government power. Governments across our country disregarded the Constitution and individual freedom and assumed powers that they did not constitutionally hold. Take strong action and ensure that our leaders never again usurp power or violate our most cherished freedoms. As has been said many times, don't let the cure be worse than the disease.

I am a constituent and demand that you ensure that our officials follow the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, even during a pandemic like COVID-19. Any solution to the pandemic must follow the rule of law, abides by the limitations of power in the state constitution, and that respects the rights of the people as guaranteed by the Bill of Rights to the U.S. Constitution. It's past time that we take action to limit government power so our leaders abide by the constitutional limitations of power.

I live in your district and want you to pass strong legislation that respects our individual liberty with regard to COVID-19. The solution to the coronavirus pandemic must be one that obeys the constitutional limitations of power and respects our rights. Accordingly, oppose and stop all state executive or emergency orders that limit our constitutional freedoms. These include (but are not limited to) forced vaccinations, mask mandates, and limits on public gatherings. The cure should not be worse than the disease. History is disturbingly replete with examples of governments seizing extraordinary powers during a crisis and not relinquishing said powers when the crisis is over. Pass legislation to restores our liberties and respects the proper constitutional balance of power.

I live in your district and want you to pass robust limitations on government power, in response to what we have experienced with COVID-19. Across our country, state and local governments blatantly violated the state and federal constitutions to "combat" COVID. However, the virus remains among us while our liberties have eroded to a frightening degree. Respect the rule of law and constitutional limitations of power. Everyday oppression and government overreach should never be allowed to become the new norm, especially here.
