Leave My AR-15 Alone!
As a law-abiding gun owner, I demand that you vote against S.66/H.R. 1296 or any similar legislation that would make me a FELON for owning an AR-15 or similar firearms, as well as the magazines that feed them!
Stop S.66 and H.R. 1296!
Dianne Feinstein and over 250 of her fellow radical socialists are pushing S.66/H.R. 1296, legislation that would make it a felony offense for me to own an AR-15 rifle and the standard 30 round magazines that come with them!
Instead of trying to go after criminals, Senator Feinstein and her allies are trying to make felons out of the estimated 10 million Americans who own these firearms!
This, despite the fact that everyone knows that criminals use knives, personal weapons (fists/feet,) and handguns -- in that order -- to carry out the vast majority of murders.
This has nothing to do with stopping crime.
This is all a part of the radical socialist agenda taking place in Washington, D.C. that is designed to disarm as many law abiding citizens as possible.
For that reason, I demand that you oppose S.66/H.R. 1296 or any similar legislation.
I will be keeping an eye on your votes and statement on this legislation, via the American Firearms Coalition.
Don’t Support the Ban on the AR-15!
Privately owned firearms are used an estimated 2 million times per year to stop criminals from harming law abiding citizens, and with 10-15 million AR-15’s in circulation, this rifle is used in a large number of those incidents.
It’s easy to see why.
The AR-15 is lightweight, easy to operate, holds a solid amount of ammunition, handles a plethora of optics, and is affordable for many people.
That’s why I am so outraged to see that 34 Senators and 215 Congressman are publicly backing legislation that would make me a criminal for owning this gun or the magazines that come with them!
That’s also why I am writing you today: to insist that you oppose S.66/H.R. 1296 (or any similar legislation) as it would do nothing to stop crime but would harass law abiding gun owners instead!
While you’re at it, how about you actually lead on the gun rights movement and actually sponsor pro-gun legislation for a change, so that gun owners like me are not constantly on defense.
We played this game for eight years under President Obama, and we’re still playing in today, despite a GOP-controlled White House and US Senate!
Do something for gun owners, and in the meantime, oppose the AR-15 ban!
Fight for My Gun Rights!
Despite having a GOP-controlled Senate and White House, gun owners like me have been on the defensive for several years with Republicans talking about backing ‘Red Flag’ and other forms of gun control.
Now, support for a ban on the AR-15 and the magazines that run them (and hundreds of similar rifles) is growing in Washington, D.C. with almost 250 lawmakers supporting either S.66 or H.R. 1296!
As your constituent, I am writing to insist that you oppose this legislation, of course.
But, more than that, I am insisting that you fight for gun owners like me by going on offense for a change, and actually sponsor pro-gun legislation.
Nature abhors a vacuum, and that’s why it’s inexcusable for Republicans in pro-gun states to sit silently while radical socialists do all they can to disarm the American people.
From national reciprocity (that respects gun owners in Constitutional Carry states) to a national suppressor law, there is much that you could be doing to stand up and fight for gun owners like me.
And that’s exactly what I want you to do.
The American Firearms Coalition will keep me up to date about your actions on the assault weapons ban, and any other pertinent legislation.
Oppose Dianne Feinstein’s Gun Control Bill!
Dianne Feinstein’s hatred for gun owners is well known and has spanned decades.
Now, with more radical socialists getting elected than at any other time in history, a full 34 Senators and 215 Congressional leaders are backing S.66/H.R. 1296, Feinstein’s legislation to ban the popular AR-15 rifle and the standard 30 round magazines that come with them.
As a law abiding gun owner, I know that banning this rifle (and over 200 specifically identified companion firearms) has absolutely nothing to do with stopping violent crime.
(If the goal was stopping violent crime, gun-grabbers would make it easier for Americans to own them, as they are almost never used in criminal actions, but are used regularly by citizens in repelling home invasions and robberies.)
Rather, this is about Senator Feinstein and her socialist allies doing all they can to completely disarm as many law abiding gun owners as possible.
Of course, the moment an AR-15 ban were to pass into law, gun-grabbers would immediately move to ban other semi-automatic firearms.
For these reasons, I am writing you as your constituent to demand that you reject any legislative attempt to ban the possession and use of this rifle!
A vote against the AR-15 is a vote against my most basic freedoms. AFC will be watching your actions on this bill, and will inform me of them.
Oppose Gun Control or Find Another Job!
Too often, when lawmakers go to Washington, D.C., they start to actually believe that we want you to make deals with radical leftists, regardless of the issue, as some sort of a sign of your political sophistication.
The truth is, I don’t want you to make any deals, find any common ground, or make any compromises with the radical gun control crowd in Washington, D.C.
As my elected voice in Washington, I want you to fight for my right to keep and bear arms, and to go to war with any lawmaker who pushes any legislation that would curtail that right.
Specifically, I am writing you today to insist that you oppose S.66/H.R. 1296, commonly known as the assault weapons ban that makes me a criminal for owning an AR-15 or the 30 round magazines that are used in them.
This legislation would do nothing to stop criminals.
They know that.
Lawmakers know that.
And we all know that you know that.
This is about lawmakers seeking to implement an aggressive socialist agenda, and that starts with disarming law abiding gun owners like me!
This is simple: oppose this legislation or find another job, as there is no middle ground on this issue.
Rest assured that the American Firearms Coalition will keep me informed of how you vote on this or any other gun control bill.
I Want More Than Talk!
Almost every politician tells me that they are pro-gun when they want my vote, donations, or volunteer hours at election time.
Gun owners have delivered for you time and time again. Now, we want you to do your job by actively fighting for us in Washington, D.C.
Simply put, I want more than talk.
If you claim to be pro-gun, then I want you to get on the floor and stick up for law abiding gun owners who are being targeted by radical socialists with bills like S.66/H.R. 1296 legislation that would make me a felon for daring to own an AR-15 or the standard 30-round magazines that are used to operate them.
On the other hand, if you have supported gun control measures like H.R.8 or other legislation this year, you should know that gun owners have become one of the most potent fighting forces in Minnesota over the last decade and we will hold you accountable.
The American Firearms Coalition will be keeping an eye on this ‘assault weapon’ legislation, and all of the rest of the gun-control bills that are being advanced in Washington, D.C.
Stand Up and Fight for Me!
As your constituent, I am writing to let you know that if you cast a vote in favor of an assault weapons ban of any kind (be that S.66/H.R. 1296 or anything similar to those bills) I will actively oppose your re-election bid for the rest of time.
Making criminals out of law abiding gun owners is unforgivable for me, it doesn’t matter how good (or bad) you are on other issues.
Please don’t send me a 2 page, 8 point font reply that says absolutely nothing.
Just oppose this or you’ll answer to me at the ballot box.
It’s the Most Popular Rifle in America!
The AR-15 is the most popular rifle in America, with at least 12,000,000 of them in circulation. Additionally, there are an estimated 250 million magazines that hold over 10 rounds of ammunition.
Now Senator Dianne Feinstein and almost 250 of her fellow lawmakers in both chambers are trying to make felons out of all of those gun owners with S.66/H.R. 1296 –- legislation that makes it a crime for me to own the AR-15 or the magazines that feed them.
Gun owners love this firearm because they are cheap, reliable, customizable, have virtually no recoil and because, at a deeper level, this is the best firearm available to us to defend ourselves against criminals and tyrants alike.
That’s why I care about the Second Amendment.
It’s not about hunting or target shooting. It’s about having the means to stop criminals and a tyrannical government.
I am writing to insist that you oppose this, or any similar, legislation. This is non-negotiable to me.
If you support this legislation, I will oppose you in any way I can.
Please don’t send me a 2 page reply that says virtually nothing.
Just do your job, fight for me, and oppose this or any similar legislation.
Are They Going to Go Door to Door to Take Them?
Radical gun-grabbers, lead by Dianne Feinstein and almost 250 of her socialist pals in Washington, D.C., are trying to make felons out of well over ten million Americans who own the AR-15 self-defense rifle or higher capacity magazines.
S.66/H.R. 1296 is an outrageous attack on our Second Amendment freedoms. More than that, this bill has extremely practical consequences.
How would you intend on enforcing this legislation?
Do you intend to send government agents door-to-door, house-to-
house to confiscate these firearms?
If so, do you really think that Americans will simply roll over and accept this?
Get real.
Americans are sick of violent, Antifa leftists and their supporters on Capitol Hill who are trying to take over this country by force and intimidation.
Do your job, oppose the assault weapon legislation being pushed in D.C., or you’ll pay a price at election time.
The American Firearms Coalition will tell me how you vote on this bill, as well as any public statements that you make, so feel free to not send me a lengthy response that doesn’t actually say anything.
