I know that Massachusetts is facing some very important challenges, but it has been more than two years since states across the country began to legalize sports betting and we should keep the tax revenue here, rather than giving it away to other states. Please do whatever you can to pass sports betting legislation as soon as possible.

I know there are a lot of people who already bet on sports in Massachusetts. Why not make it legal and offer strong consumer protections so no one is left unsafe? Right now, people are betting with illegal companies on their phones, which don’t offer any customer protections and put people at risk. It is in the best interest of our commonwealth that we legalize sports betting now so that everyone who is betting on sports today can be protected and so sports betting revenue can help fund Massachusetts’ needs. I hope that you make sports betting legal in Massachusetts soon.

As your constituent I am asking that you please bring legal sports betting to Massachusetts. Legalizing sports betting seems like a common sense move for Massachusetts. It is an additional source of revenue, it creates a legal market where consumers are protected, and it allows for an additional element of entertainment for those who want it. It’s especially important now that so many states around ours have legalized mobile sports betting. This is the right thing for Massachusetts. I urge you to make sports betting legal in here in Massachusetts!

We all know that sports betting is already happening in Massachusetts, it is just being done illegally with operators who have no interest or reason to protect our residents. That’s why we need a legal alternative. We should have the ability to bet legally, know that our money is safe with a licensed company, and know that there is someone we can talk to if we have a problem with one of the companies. I keep hearing about the benefits of mobile sports betting in states around the country and the Northeast. It’s time to be able to safely and legally bet on sports in Massachusetts!

I want to be able to bet on sports here in Massachusetts, and I want to be able to do it from my phone just like I do with most everything else I do. Sports fans in Massachusetts have been betting on sports here for a long time, but we’ve never had a legal option. In order to keep sports betting revenue in Massachusetts, we need a legal alternative to the offshore companies who rip people off, provide no consumer protections and deliver no money to the commonwealth. New Hampshire, Rhode Island, New York and Connecticut all have passed legal sports betting. It’s time that Massachusetts catches up! Please bring mobile sports betting to Massachusetts!

Why is Massachusetts letting millions of dollars leave the commonwealth and fill the pockets of illegal sports betting platforms? Right now, if people in Massachusetts choose to bet on sports they’re doing it through illegal platforms that offer no protections or they’re going to other states like New Hampshire and Rhode Island (and will soon be going to Connecticut and New York). We have the opportunity to make betting on sports legal and get some much-needed funding for important things in our commonwealth. I think it is time that we bring sports betting out of the shadows to offer important consumer protections to fans in Massachusetts that are currently missing in the illegal market.

Not only would mobile sports betting provide much needed consumer protections, but it will also keep all of that sports betting money in the commonwealth.
